I really wanted to see "Enterprise" succeed for a couple reasons. One is because I have thoroughly enjoyed Trek through the years although not DS9 as much, but that is more due to it airing at times I couldn't watch, and too lazy to tape lol. Another reason though is because I liked Scott Bakula's earlier work, especially Quantum Leap. But this series has not done it for me. I find the stories less than compelling, and they seem to drag along. Archer has been made to not be as strong in mak

And it is being mentioned on the DX newsgroups that ppl are experiencing issues with missing trays or problems with some icons in the more recent builds. I have not experienced any such issues, but some have. So remember it is BETA software and there could be issues. If its important to you to have them there, I would recommend using DesktopX 1.3 until 2 becomes final. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/i

If you like DS9 so much you should buy the seasons on DVD and then you can watch them whenever you want Only up to season 4 so far. I've actually seen the LCARS mail program and tried it. It is pretty slick, but although I like Trek, I don't like using such a dark program to read text. Prefer grey or white background. As far as LCARs related themes on here, there has been a dry spell. ROFL that was too funny IPlural. One thing I would suggest if you want to create themes, is first to download themes that you like, or even that you don't like, and find out how they were done. Modify them for your own use before tackling a complete one yourself.

I've had this alpha for nearly 3 weeks. I have used it as my main player since then. It is very stable for an alpha. It uses the WA3 freeform skins perfectly, but without the drag of WA3's memory. It definitely is where 3 should have been. Plus it works with keyboard launchpad just fine with the WA2 hooks. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powere

There is a messageboard selection, its just part of the same page. I think its nice to have a design that is different from every other site. Certainly similar designs allow ppl to find their way around easily, but to me this design is only lacking one thing. The 3 boards should be listed on tabs, and clicking on a tab takes you to that board. The way it is listed now does not readily show that there are sections (at least for some that is the case I am sure). Under where it shows the sectio

Your comments bring up a very good point heavyindustry. People don't like shelling out $50 for a game to find out they hate it. I don't know how many times I've done that and it really puts me off into buying games. I think demos or other ways of presenting how the games play is something that can help deter piracy also. Yet hardly any are readily available. If I get sick of getting burned on bad games, and there is no way to try before you buy, then I could look towards piracy where the

Well trillian is in the tray per default setup. There is an option in Trillian under Basic Options, to prompt on two instances of Trillian, it may give you the option of opening a second or using the current. Otherwise you are right, using that option to launch the object in use should work, I just tried it and it works here. I didn't get two instances of the program I am using. I tried it with trillian and with the selection I mentioned above it didn't open another trillian. Although

ICQ is still supported it appears, but at one time it was all I used, now I have it uninstalled. Only use it if connected via trillian. You can't lump Trillian in with the others, since it doesn't have its own IM protocol. If someone uses Trillian, then are connected to MSN , Yahoo, Jabber, AIM , ICQ or IRC. AIM is only popular because of the subscriber base, otherwise MSN I believe is the finest IM. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&N

Right click on the desktop and choose Properties. On the tab called "Desktop" you'll find a list of your currently installed wallpapers. The original XP one is called Bliss. Choose it and hit apply and you are done. Click OK to exit.

To use the icons you need to have the program Icon Packager (download for it on page where you got the icons). Its the same with the .suites, you need the Winstyles program to use them. That has a download link on the same page also. It would be a better value though if you simply purchased Object Desktop which includes those two programs plus many others that you will find useful. <img src="http://image

Apparently Gyurza hasn't looked at many skins. I have seen plenty that have different looking start buttons. It makes sense though to have many skins use the default words "start", because for some it helps to have something familiar. For me I don't care what it says, I don't use my taskbar lol. I hit the Windows Key to get my Start Menu. So just remember everyone likes things in different ways, and if you really can't find a skin you like, then learn to skin and make it how you want. <

Yes it is pretty nice not having to open the Skinbrowser all the time, this is a more compact window. Although doesn't allow commenting. The new additions portion though lists a many more skins. Whereas the skinbrowser typically only shows 15 or so new additions. Now if they could just combine component tray and wincustomize tray so we don't have to have two icons there that would be best

Was that pun on purpose sig101? Apple Corps (pronounced apple cores) Will be interesting to see how this is settled. My guess is it settles out of court, with Apple the music company getting a piece of Apple's pie (I just had to say that ) <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full

For Firebird you need to download an extension called UserAgent that will allow you to spoof what browser you are using. Ah joetheblow, perhaps the older version of WB along with Win98 excludes Mozilla. I'm using 4.1 on XP so guess that is why mine is skinned.

There is a newer update to DX2 in SDC now if you haven't checked. 1.99i I haven't had any issues with things not moving. Btw make sure you have the MCP core installed also for DX2 now. And goodmorphing, all betas are number just prior to the major release number, so 1.99 is DX2 in beta. It has not been released yet <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsI

I don't really understand what the big deal is about wallpaper. Do you often sit just staring at your monitor all day and need different looks? I change mine every once in awhile for a change of pace or to go with a new theme, but I really don't see the point in animating it. Its mostly covered if I'm using the computer, and if I'm not using it, then the monitor is off. I also wondered why we have an "advertisement" on the front page of Wincustomize. I sincerely doubt this is a partne

Well I don't expect to get hit hard here in Mass., but its still too early to say who will get it most. By wednesday I think they can be more sure. Right now they say up here we might not get much effects. Even so people are already worried, I think that's a bit much. I work in a store and they are asking for radios, in case the storm hits. Why do people do that? Lose their heads when a hurricane is coming? Sure lets stock up on plenty of refrigerated food, then if the power goes out, w

Ah Koasoti I hadn't actually typed in the message board in Firebird lol. It does underline it. That is odd. But it doesn't jump around. joetheblow mentioned though that Firebird was excluded from Windowblinds skinning. I have it skinnsed just fine, scrollbars too. To be sure some parts aren't because FB skins itself, but it fits in with the theme I'm using just fine. Glad I use the Skinbrowser or SDC usually to respond here, these underlines would drive me nuts <img src="http:/

Hmm I use Mozilla Firebird and it is standards compliant similar to Opera in that way, and it displays everything fine for me including the message board. Well the board page doesn't "fit" into the window (has scrollbars for left/right) but it certainly isn't really messed up. It is not unusual though for a website to be more geared towards IE as it is still the most popular browser even if it isn't the best one. It is the safer course of action until there is a stronger contigent of alter
