If you use the WC browser to read these discussions, but don't see the separate sections, right click on a blank area next to the buttons for Create New.. Reply, etc and choose "Reset List" . I believe that takes care of Weaksids problem.

I just installed the recent update to MyIE2 (.8.350) and I have no problems at all using it with WB. Though I did setup a per app exclusiong to it, but I do show the titlebar from WB so it fits in with everything. Since MyIE2 has its own skins this is necessary. Although I used to have problems with the menus in MyIE2 even with the per app exclusion, its a lot better now. The other option is to use MyIE2 without a skin and then have WB skin it, that worked before for me also. <B

That's odd if you have the new build if you are still experiencing that issue. I had noticed that problem, but after installing the new build, things worked properly with IconX and recycle bin.

Glad you found us and are staying put. I agree it is the best site out there, even more so of course if you like Stardock's products and who can resist them. The other sites either don't have much to them, are difficult to navigate, or continue to list products that haven't been in development for years (Browser Bob anyone? lol). I am not a skinner, nor aspire to be one, but I am happy to support this site in return for the great artistry that it gives me access to.

I do think that once DesktopX 2 hits its full release it will be a force to be reckoned with. I am one of those who wanted to use it before, but never had much luck with the themes created (the few I liked). And the objects available didn't offer much to have a need for DesktopX. Now, however, DesktopX is essential, at least I think so. I'm not surprised about ICQ plus. I haven't used ICQ itself in 2 years, in fact its deleted now. I use Trillian. You could argue AOL killed ICQ, but IC

Quicknote is a program like notepad only skinnable. Rainlendar is a calender that shows on your desktop very much like the current crop of DesktopX calendar objects, although rainlendar can link up with Outlook. Many times rainlandar appears in a screenshot for a Windowblind or DesktopX theme. As far as the Boot section, it doesn't matter either way for me. If it is does without having to host kernals, that certainly would be the better way. BootXp seems to be the more popular pr

Its too bad you can't break the poll down as to who was on which OS when they voted. I can't believe it got so many votes, since its usually seen so rarely on XP/2000 . On the legal issue though, sure MS doesn't apparently care about "hacking" of their files, but Stardock, to me, has had a respectful relationship with MS and I would think if we supported the hacked file route, it would "dirty" our relationship. I suppose Stardock could choose to support one of the Boot programs mentio

I have the new beta since a few days ago and it does address many of the issues people have had with Trillian. Though things like compatibility with the new MSN6 are obviously missing due to its release being too close to Trillians update. Though that may come eventually through the use of plugins. One big plus for many is support for Jabber in the update. It also runs faster. If you mostly stick the basics when IM'ing or IRC'ing, then Trillian 2.0 is certainly a force to be reckoned wit

It is the best way to view Wincustomize, especially for us slow dail-up users. Plus if you want to go through the discussion board while viewing skins, and even IRC chatting about skins, you can do it all in one program.

I very rarely rate (mostly I simply forget) but I noticed that just now myself that I was unable to see the average score for the skin I rated. The page I'm at has the comments on the same page as the skin and set rating box. After rating it goes back to the same page and the rating I gave shows up in the drop down box for choosing a rating. I don't remember which Level I'm at, but have OD and a WC subscription. Which brings to mind something that is missing. You can't do ratings in the W

It is true if you like IE, then MyIE2 is a far superior solution. Though considering MyIE2 still reacts poorly with WB in the menus(when using a MyIE2 skin), then its very clear they are from different companies. In fact since Webblinds doesn't provided that added functionality is precicely why I don't use it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Power

Yes I agree that this can be frustrating. I think at least the Wincustomize Browser could easily handle what is new since you last visited. On the web page itself would be nice, but I use the skin browser when I want to look for what is new anyway. Another possibility would be to have an option where you could choose to have which new additions you see. Personally I don't need to see the wallpaper additions, since I almost never change mine. If I do change it, its due to a theme which has i

Many of the listed programs should have a start when window starts option, but if not, simply putting them in your startup folder should work. The programs will retain the last skin they were using. There is a Stardock program called Winstyles that could help you, but it doesn't support all the programs you mentioned, nor will it ever support ALL programs. I forget what the message means about the Classic menu, unless you are using that option in XP, then it means you need to use the XP st

Actually most skins should have a .wba extenstion, which should be automatically installed after download (at least it is for me). If its a .zip extension it just has another step to it usually. The download link on Wincustomize is fairly easy to locate usually, not sure where you went wrong by your desciption, but glad to see you figured it out. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif"

It helps also if you save your theme. Then it should remember states. Choose "Configure DesktopX" and the save button for Themes. You can also save a specific wallpaper to use with DesktopX if you like, as well as other things.

Overall the numbers are great of course, except for the last one. It is surprising to me that so many frequent visitors are not paying for a subscription. Its only $10/yr how can you beat that? If you are into having different skins and the best skins for the best programs, its a no-brainer. These stats are great to see who is using what to see where the majority is in the community.

I played clarinet for 11 yrs, but haven't touched it since a couple years after high school. Not even sure where it is, but I know I couldn't hold a note, or hardly play it lol. I also played violin for 4 years. Taught myself to play two songs on the piano with both hands (but that doesn't really count I suppose). Now I just play my armpit, and can making a popping sound with my mouth. lol <i

Winzip is $30??? I've never bothered with it, except early on used the shareware version. I would never pay for that, though maybe some need the added functionality. For the majority of users we just need to unzip, so ObjectZip is perfect (well almost, doesn't do rar ) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/s
