DesktopX Manual?

Is there a Desktop X manual which explains how to use it. I am having trouble with Weather not remembering the zip code I use and email notifcation not remember my email notify info. This happens on reboot of system or reloading a theme. Is DesktopX just not capable of remembering info or is it the objects? Any help would be appreciated.

DX doesn't always want to play nice with the weather. They've tried to patch it (1.99c(b)) and for the most part it does fix it), but it has it's moments. It is not a script problem. When it is working properly it will retain your zip. You might want to wait for another update of DX. As for mail....by default it clears your info on re-boot or when you save it so it's doesn't export your info.

It helps also if you save your theme. Then it should remember states. Choose "Configure DesktopX" and the save button for Themes. You can also save a specific wallpaper to use with DesktopX if you like, as well as other things.

The save option will not save my email settings,,and the weather object /animated/ has caused some lockups for me.It will not remember my zip either, save or not.It seemed to work for a while, then it said,"you are experiencing weather we haven't seen before and send MO to martin".It hasn't worked right since.Needless to say it does not seem to be saving this info for me.I really am having a lot of fun with this DX thing.Everyone,,dig it.

Not sure I understand your question, but.......IE is the default engine for WC. As far as I know (and I've never tried anything else) you can't bring up any other browser using auto. You can start your browser of choice and go to WC site, but I think that's it.......

Well,I see, under view/settings,scroll all the way to the bottom and there is the choice for "Default Browser".It does say "Windows" Default Browser but it always reaches for plain ole',non-tabbed,icky IE.I hope there are some groovy DX themes coming' up.What a fun program.
