It sounds to me that you are interested in what DesktopX2 has to offer. Currently there is a basic meter available that shows CPU, RAM, SWAP and a couple other things. Its an object on the desktop. There are clock and calender objects also. These objects may not currently be exactly what you want, but there are new ones being made as DX2 gets released (currently in beta). Also I use DesktopX to be somewhat minimalistic. I only have system tray, no taskbar. Instead I use ObjectDock for

I assume since you ask about paying for the update that you do not have Object Desktop, since with OD, the update is "free". If you own just DesktopX then upgrades prices I believe vary depending upon when you purchased it. Also there is in fact a DX2 calender object. It is not, however, tied into any kind of scheduling program, etc. That isn't to say it can't be done of course, just the object is an example. The Rainlender, as previously mentioned can tie into Outlook. One

The only question I have, and forgive me if I repeat since I skipped page 2, but if 250 limit will only affect a small amount of people will that really help enough? I suppose since its an option you feel it will. The problem that WC has is that many of the skins posted on here are available at other sites that don't require payment of any kind. I download here first, not only because I'm a member, but because its usually here first. So I think certainly some way of assuring that ski

Give people time to respond, but I certainly think it shows potential. Even for those who don't use ToonXp and just want silly looking fish hehe. Can't wait to see the finished result. Besides we don't have any predator fish, they are all nice <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN=

Make sure under the View Menu you have "Show Pre-release version" checked. Also of course it won't say DX2 just DesktopX [Beta] with the current version at 1.99[b].004 . Also make sure you haven't changed settings to disregard viewing DesktopX under View..... Show/Hide Applications.

Well I use XP but I don't know of any setting to do that, not that I personally max any window (I like seeing behind at other things). Anyway one solution I believe would work fine for you is to use a tabbed browser such as MyIE2 or Modzilla. Then when a link is clicked on, it is put into a new tab, which is automatically the size of your current window. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gi

WB, IP, OB, DX2, CXP, Logon Also winamp and WMP support, since I don't believe you could reach a consensus, and those two cover many users. I would have added trillian, but I stopped using it with MSN6 (plus hardly need the other IM's now anyway). But Wincustomize doesn't support Trillian anyway atm. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by

I am equally shocked that people have to complain like that. Do they have nothing else to do but hover over Stardock for when the next release is out? And if you are subscribers, then you have had the beta already available for quite some time, and I'm sure there are only minor fixes between that and the released version. For those whiners, I say "Get a Life". I for one am glad its here either way.

Well where MSN6 isn't "officially" out people are probably waiting. Also I was not aware of it being skinnable exactly. Even 4 and 5 from what I remember was more or less hack kinds. Its not built into the application.

I thought the movie was pretty good. It was fun to watch, albeit slightly predictable. The skins are very nice, but just not my style. A rarity for me, first post Now I'll never say that again, because I think its silly.

I admit I had crash problems under Win98, but they were rare, and most certainly wasn't the fault of StarDock. I have not every recieved spam from SD. I have only received whatever I should have when purchasing things or whatever. In fact I didn't realize I was supposed to be getting a newsletter, so I had to GO SIGN UP for it lol. It really bothers me that people are so quick to lay blame somewhere without attempting to locate the source of the problem first. <A HREF="h

I got hooked on WB the way I got hooked on several programs, from visiting skin sites (mainly skinz.org at first) and trying out programs I found listed there. Originally I went there because of winamp, but quickly I discovered I had to use WB. At first I only used the shareware, but eventually I paid for it since it really wasn't that expensive, plus I could get rid of the nagging. Which most programs I don't care, but WB I did. Also I didn't really buy WB til I got XP, because on Win98 it

When I watched the Hulk it was difficult to stay focused through the first half. It just seemed to meandor around, very little to get excited about. Most good movies have a natural ebb and flow to them, where things pick up speed at times, then slow down, etc. Hulk just plodded along until finally they let him out of the bag and finally it was exciting. The ending I thought was horrible (I never read the comics so am not sure how closely it comes to that). I just found it to be too ch

If you really are undecided about which is better, then try them both. Of course here we say WB is better, and in my mind there is no question it can do more, is faster and is legit. But if you aren't sure, try them out separately and see for yourself. WB will be the one which can totally skin your PC easily, nothing else can, not even Luna (the built in MS skin). Heck I like windowblinds so much, I disbabled the theme service in XP. Why have that running when its of no use to me. <

That is the most contradictory statement I have read in quite awhile. Why would you be using a skin you think is "really awful" ? Oh well sounds like you handled it quite professionally, hopefully the person involved will see this thread and think twice next time about what they are writing. </
