I've stopped playing Wow since augest, it's just not worth $15 a month for it, for me anyway. I constantily feel that unless I play it everyday for at least 4 hours, I'll never get anywhere in it. I've recentily become addicted to Albatross18 , it's a free online golf game like hot shots.

Just picked up a copy of the movies with the dvd edition. When I put into my dvd drive, I hear the drive trying to run it, but then I hear a skipping sound. And it doesn't pick it up. It also is having trouble reading my copy of the sims 2 dvd. Yet it can run Pirates! dvd version. I have this : HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8161B Could it be the drive that is not working? If so how do I fix it, or where can I get a new one?

Well after a long two weeks and thanks to everyone here and at another forum, and from my friend , I got my parts picked out. Asus A8n SLI Premium amd athlon 64 x2 3800+ BFG Geforce 7800 Gt Oc Coursir 2 gig memory kit DDR 400 Antec P160 case enermex Eg701AX 600V power supply. The rest I'm using from this comp. I might grab an 80 gig sata drive but haven't decided yet.
Well thanks to everyone who posted and some other people I know here are the parts I'm planning on getting amd 64x2 3800+ geforce 7800 gt ( bfg verison I think) asus premium coursir 2 gig ddr( 2 1 gig sticks) 3200 case still shopping around for a good one, outside of that I might pickup another drive since I'm only using one drive now. Besides getting a new mouse, the rest I'm going to use from this comp.

I think I'm going to take the parts over to a place like comp usa, have them build it, and get their warrenty on computers. Now I'm figuring that the video card will probably be a geforce 7800. Would ether of the asus cards support that? Also I have my 100 gig drive, I don't know how to check on it's speed, but it was installed in my comp back in 2002 I think. Speakers monitor and keyboard are taken care of already. That leaves memory, case, mouse I think. Having another problem since the people at best buy tinkered with my computer, it's taking along time for the computer to get from the motherboard info screen to the windows loading screen, now this was not like that before they started playing with it, does anyone know what they did?

so the pri slave drive is indeed the 2nd drive that I have installed not the C drive that 100 gigs on it. Man that was a near heart attack for me:) The C drive is 4 years old, would that mean in 3 more years I would have to get rid of that one as well? Fortuntily the old drive is mainly back up, had a 2nd verison of windows installed on it for games, but got corrupted. As a side note about the 2nd windows, how would I go about installing it back? Ok some stupid questions but, it says pri slave drive, that would be my 2nd drive correct, not my main C drive? Also what's an easy way to backup everything?
Well this is pretty bad, when I load up my computer I'm getting a "S.M.A.R.T. slave drive error backup and replace" . So does that mean that my 2nd drive is about to go to the big place in the sky Any help would be good, if it's importent, the drive has got to be at least 7 years old by now.
