I remember hearing about a type 2 civ from a physicist that was on tv. I think we are a type 1, type 2 I think is when planetary altering is possible by a civ.

I consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I can't really get addicted to just one game. I've tried MMOs like City of Heroes and Wow but I can't stay with them for long, one part due to the price, 2nd I get really bored playing the same thing day in and day out. Which is why my gaming collection goes from games like Rome Total war, to Katamari damacy, to even Virtua Fighter 4 evo.

Yeah back then I had a 56k connection, my connection was so slow that if I didn't get my cable modem installed a few days later I would never be able to play half life 2. Forcing people to connect online to play a single player game is one of the most idiotic ideas I've seen.

I have to admit I agree with you on every point you made, and what's funny is that I was coming into this thread to agrue against you Steam is pure evil, and your right about the episodic type gameplay. And I was really really pissed off at the ending ( don't want to spoil it for anyone). i agree in the first half life you had that feeling that your really exploring this huge facility. Yeah I read the article , it makes no sense, that she would willingly buy the M rated game for the 14 year old, then complains a few months later over this.

Heh what's funny is that over the course of last year I've written two papers on video game violence, and in both I pretty much bash Jack Thompson. For some college courses.

I agree ryan, I got galciv for 20 bucks back around last year, then I saw the drengin net and thought "nah, I'll wait". I finally got it last June just before all the changes started, with the new games, and now this, getting drengin net back then was one of the best decesions game wise I ever made.

One of my personal favorite space games is Star Control 2, I still play my 3do version of the game sometimes. The only thing I can think of to make it perfect is if it had random universe generator. And now I'm downloading EV nova as well, thks for the info.

Hm, star chamber is still around? I'm just wondering how will tokens and such work since you can buy packs of cards, unless they changed that. Any chance that smaller MMO games could be added ? Like A tale in the desert 2? I got hooked for alittle bit but the game really needed a better help and manual system.

Have a quick question if I click download next to a game that I need to buy or use tokens, does it automatically deduct the token amount from my supply?
