So is the beta out for it yet? Haven't really heard anything about the game for awhile.
Jab
Doh, I wish I read that yesterday, I built 3 influence stations around my planets, was wondering why they didn't help me at all.
I'm having the exact same problems when I try to to exit out of galciv2. If I load up the game, but don't start or load a new game then quit, then it works fine. But if I actually load a game up, then try to quit that causes problems.
I'm just glad that I pre loaded most of the files before today.
I've been thinking about another way to handle copy protection, I think a new cp should be developed . Lets say each disc comes with a code that must be entered on a website to register it before installing it, and that once registered, that cd cannot be used to install from unless you unregister from the site. Besides that no cp on the disc itself. I think in order to stop piracy, we should be looking away from the cd, and more forwards security from the game developer
I take it they lost alot of money for not publishing firaxis games anymore.
I know some C++ and Visual Basic, but still in college right now taking CIS ,and moving to Michigan is not happening right now. Would love to do that though.
Here is the better question ,why the hell would a game company want to do a game tie in with a boll movie? That's like 2 strikes against the game before it's even started, it's a movie game, AND based on a uwe boll movie.
he's back... da da dum. Long day, too tired to read the entire letter now.
Took me about 20 minutes and i have the main game installed, going to do the rest over the week so I don't have to suffer having everything downloaded and unabled to play.
Alright just started my download, so far dl speeds are pretty fast. I'm getting 238k a second here.
2-3 hours of gameplay for 20$ is a rip off to me, especially coming from myself, who didn't like spending $15 per month for Wow. I remember feeling the same way over Bone episode one, it was 15 or 20 dollars and was over in about 2 hours.
Depends for me on how much per episode. I can see maybe spending 5 or ten dollars for 2or 3 half life2 levels. Anymore though would be a rip off.
Lets not forget that the psychic worms are much cooler then barbarian hordes. What sounds more deadly, axe attack ,or having your brain destroyed from the inside out.
I have the movies right next to me right now, but I have no energy in me to sit to figure out how to create a movie. Hopefully they can balance some of the stupid stuff in the tycoon game. Such as never having enough employees even though I have over 600 million dollars.
That's the thing that bothers me about unit customization in a history game. I'm not a history expert by any means, but there had to have been diferent varations of the same weapon through out history. Different types of swords , guns, and of course materials to create different weapons. It doesn't sound complicated to let's say equip a knight unit with a lance, or broad sword, etc.
I think setting wise I liked AC better then Civ4. I loved the clips about each new tech, and it has the one feature that Civ doesn't have, the ability to customize units. Civ4 is a good game, but I also don't have the energy to start up a new game. Also it seems that it is very easy to screw up in the first 30 minutes of so of play. Two things I don't like are combat and the interface. Combat feels like a huge numbers game, and the interface is very hard to find useful
Didn't empire also release Ghost Master and Sheep?
I'm now having a problem where it says error installing file, file not found. The file is explosion gfx file I think, but it won't let me install gal civ 2 beta.
I've heard of earth 2150 but never played it, what is it?
No offense to civ 4 fans, but I hated the interface for civ 4. Granted the civpedia was great, but the use of small text and icons made it hard to see what is happening quickly. A friend of mine who is also a fan of civ didn't like it as well.
How can they think about a sequel when Ea has to release at least 5 more expansions first?
TBS multi games really don't appeal to me, since I could not sit at my comp for the 2- whatever hour long it takes to finsh. One thing to the op that you should understand about gal civ and probably gal civ 2's(when it's done) ai, is that they can be very brutal. Playing galciv 1 on norm and civ 3 on norm was two very different experiences. The ai for the most part will do everything and anything in it's power to win. Personality I couldn't even take the ai on the hardest difficuli
I'm afraid to ask what those additional labels are going to be.
not I. First cyan dieing then coming back now SS. Is the only video game company that's going to stay dead acclaim? Still I'm happy they're back, is everyone back on the project, or are those creative changes firings?
