Lionhead Hints at Movies Expansion

Forum Post Announces That Development Already In-Progress

The Movies will be getting an expansion according to a forum post on Lionhead Studio's forum. The post, which was made by Sam, whom has the tag of 'Administrator,' stated that although sales of the original title are slow, so slow that Activision decided not to publish the console version, "the team at Lionhead Studios are as dedicated to The Movies as they've ever been; an expansion pack is currently in development (which will be announced very shortly) and we are continuing to support The Movies Online!"

Good news comes to the consolers out there as well. Sam also stated that although a console version is no longer coming from Activision it doesn't mean that the project is dead, allowing another publisher to pick up the deal.

I have the movies right next to me right now, but I have no energy in me to sit to figure out how to create a movie.  Hopefully they can balance some of  the stupid stuff in the tycoon game. Such as never having enough employees even though I have over 600 million dollars.

I've been playing The Movies and like it, but yes, actually creating your own movie is a project. I never thought I'd say this, but their system is too robust.  If it's too much of a hassle for hardcore PC gamers to want to deal with, than I can't imagine a casual gamer ever doing it. And the scripts that the AI generates itself are really repetitive, so you just stop watching them after awhile.
