Jack Thompson has penned and incredibly long letter to U2 and Elevation Partners backer Bono, explaining to the rocker why he should steer clear of Take-Two Interactive. Thompson took the time to draft the letter because he has heard the rumors that Elevation Partners is looking into purchasing the troubled publisher.
Thompson's letter touches on a number of Take-Two Interactive's current problems, which have largely been created due to the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The topics include the Alabama shooting of two police officers and a dispatcher, the Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into the company, the incorporation of the Dual Shock technology into the GTA series which thus makes "the entire system is a biofeedback, operant conditioning system which desensitizes the user to the act of killing." Thompson also brings up the unreleased title Bully and ends on the topic of Christianity.
