Electronic Arts has yet to announce a sequel to their cash-cow franchise, The Sims, but word has come from some of their partners that they are indeed developing the series into a trilogy. Both Gamma Ray Studios and Feng Zhu Design list EA/Maxis as current clients and even go as far as to name The Sims 3 as a title they are currently working on.
As of press time there has been no official announcement of a sequel from EA but a third iteration is certainly expected of such a popular franchise. Naturally, no release date or platforms have been announced either.
