According to the Hollywood Reporter, infamous director Uwe Boll has decided to cut his Dungeon Siege based movie into a two-part film. In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale is scheduled to hit theaters next November and December.
Hollywood Reporter quotes Boll on the film being, "a huge epic adventure, and to support the exhibitors who can't accept a movie so long, we decided to split the movie in half."
Unlike the Quentin Tarantino's split of Kill Bill, In The Name of The King was split specifically for the distributor and not for the audiences viewing pleasure. The reason behind the split boils down to a shorter movie time allowing more showings of said movie. Not only will the shorter times of the two movies show more often, but you will obviously have to pay for two movies now, instead of one.
