I haven't used any explorer windows yet, so guess I should stay away from them. However one minor bug(?) is that when I click to bring a tile up to full window, it doesn't give it focus. Often it is hiding. Perhaps that is where it would have been if I had been minimizing to taskbar. So I think WinFX just need to give focus to tiles that are brought back to full size. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/im

To those having trouble with it. I couldn't get it to tile til after I rebooted. All PC's may not need a reboot, but after I did, the feature worked flawlessly. I think its incredible. Much better than ObjectDock's thumbnail (obviously a free product can't be too advanced). I do wish, however, that it could combine aligning with a side and remembering its position. Then not only can I get them to go where I want and remember it, but I don't have to reposition new windows that hadn'
Assuming that you are posting this here because you downloading a skin that helps your pc ressemble longhorn then you need software to apply that look. The software required has a link on the top of the page you downloaded the skin from. Some software is free, others require you to pay for it.
I gave up on it a long time ago. I simply couldn't get it to replicate what I'd seen in the screenshots. I could get a menu with images and choices that worked, but not tiered menus. I followed the directions that I found but they were no help. Everytime I see someone ask about it, they are pointed to the directions on the webpage and that is it. I think a more detailed explaination is needed. However it does appear that some "get it". I usually can get it, but I feel the menu creation
Should use the one of the other messengers, have server side contact lists, so if you have to reinstall, you get everyone back
You guys watch too much tv lol. I never regretting the day I got rid of my VCR and didn't replace it with any other device to record tv with. I watch enough tv without recording something to watch later. If I can't watch it when its on, then oh well. I admit there are times I don't want to miss stuff, but that is rare. There is so much more to do in life than sit plastered in front of the tv. I do admit that the conveniences of tivo and a dvr are better than the vcr days. Now with
I get that message also when I run IP. I think it just pops up to let you know if you are using the classic start menu it doesn't change it. I am not using the classic one and get the message so I don't think it means Madison uses it.
I'm excited. I was around for the last one, but I never got into it much at that time. I'm looking forward to the wild ideas this should hopefully showcase. It helps to have some variety also and not just be WB skins. It sounds like the prizes will be greater this time around also, should be good rewards for those chosen as top dogs.
I was wondering about why it said "Welcome oops!" to me. I had recently setup my laptop and signed into Wincustomize and got that. I didn't know what happened. I just went into edit account and changed my nickname. It was kinda funny to see though hehe.
I like the topic, it sounds like he is trapped here. It doesn't really take much though to learn to use the programs, at least as far as applying skins. It would have made more sense for BrucesBeyach to just ask for help and try learning something. Then they wouldn't feel like a geek. Oh well, some are willing to try, some just give up. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0
Certainly there are some skins that are either too bright or too dark for everyday use for most people, it doesn't mean that there aren't people who want those skins. However I find overall the skins tend to be very usable. Souluna, Crystal, WindowsMAX, PrimaXP are just a few that do not stray very far from the default look of Windows, but are far better to use I think, and easy on the eyes for sure.
The guy was incredibly nervous holding that old record cylinder. It was from TechTV. Easy in retrospect to say someone should have stopped him sooner from holding it. Wonder how much that ended up costing them.... There are other cylinder records around, but that particular one was a one of a kind I believe. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered
Its in version 4.2 of Windowblinds and up. I can't recall if they are just for XP or not however.
You must have enjoyed it enough to take all the free downloads you could get. Is it so tough to part with $20 for 2 years worth of enjoyment of the site? Sure you'll find other sites where you can find some of the stuff here, but if you want the best, this is the place to be.
Yes I'm looking forward to this service pack. The popup blocker won't help me return to IE, but at least its a move in the right direction. I don't like things turned on for me automatically, but for most consumers that is indeed a need. Then those of us who don't like it that way can change it back. Bring on SP2. Just bring it in a small enough download lol. Last time on dailup it took me all day to get it. Here's hoping by them I'm on broadband <img src="http://images.stardock.com/im
All home teams will win this round, which means Eagles, Rams, Chiefs, New England. If any were to lose, I think the Chiefs stand the best chance to lose. They clearly aren't the top-notch team they appeared to be at the beginning of the season. Teams that win in the playoffs play their best football at the end of the season. The Chiefs are clearly playing their worst (despite the blowout win to finish the season). In fact New England is the only one really on a roll. The rest faltered.
Gee you'd think the terrorist would have better things to attack than Stardocks servers. Taking our fun away like that, its downright dirty. We'll be here patiently waiting for your return. Its a shame this had to happen. I'm sure WC will pull out of this better than ever.
Its entirely possible that the people who don't read the news, have actually bookmarked the message board instead. I'm not saying that I do that, but trying to give them the benefit of doubt. It does seem asinine to visit a site day after day and not at least glance at the news headlines. Often there is news I am not interested in, but if there isn't then I move on. However no matter what you do, you will always have people doing things the "wrong" way, that is just how it is. <
Unfortunately I can't search the database right now to check which object you are refering to is. However is usually best to email the author directly if its a problem with one they created.
Doesn't win2000 have a separate skins tab? I thought that was mentioned as one difference in the implementation from XP.
Measely dialup here, though I have tried a few bandwith tests and they all seem lower than they should. It shows 36kps, but my connection shows 49. Not a huge difference in the scheme of things though lol.
The past couple of days though, no matter if in WC browser or regular browser I have gotten Data Connection Error...... really frustrating as all I wrote is then lost. Never had that problem before, so might just be a problem with the wc servers.
Dukes of Hazzard The A-Team St. Elsewhere The Monkees Star Trek (any) Space: 1999 Hill Street Blues Get Smart Police Squad Fall Guy Cosby Show Cheers Seinfeld Home Improvement CHiPs Probably many more that I can't think of right now, although you read the thread and see others and its like oh ya I remember that one. <img src="http://images.s
Hopefully most themes made will be resolution independent though Since often I might find one at the res you want, but I want the higher res. The other way is to build your own theme with objects already available. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by S
Did you completely uninstall the trial WB before installing the paid version? And reboot before installing the paid version? Those are important steps to take as not doing so could cause the problems you are seeing.
