I've had a similar problem and I'm not sure exactly how I went about fixin' it but you can always try something like Tweak-UI from MS. It will allow you to rebuild your icon cache which may refresh that image and start using the IconPackager version like it should. Good Luck!

Well, it may be a little harsh, but he is entitled to his own opinion. He didn't say anything personally attacking the artist or anything else.. I do agree that it's pretty ridiculous to give a 1 just because you don't like the colors.. I don't know how the Admins will fell about this but I don't think he was overly rude in his comments. Just my 'opinion', take it or leave it, it's all the same to me.. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIG
awww, while I was at lunch... No fair..
Is that a period in front of the directory name? I think that may be your problem.. If I remember correctly Windows isn't real keen on directories that start with periods..
f0r3 stands at the ready in order to repel any who would attempt to snag this theme first.. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb
Hmmm, why can't these people take the 10 seconds and READ the very noticable thread entitled... ~~ Wondering why the Libraries are broken? README!~~ Sheesh!!
Wait a second here... My computer will run without WB ?!?! Heh, just kidding, I've never had any problems getting a timely and professional response from SD. I guess the saying holds true, you can't please everyone!! K
nm on this I found a link to the DX pdf file in of all places the news.stardock.com DX group.. I guess things have picked up there, last time I visited there hadn't been a new post in the DX groups in months and I felt it would be a bit of a waste to ask an empty forum a question..
I definitely agree with Jafo on this. I'm pretty sure all hard drives will operate just fine on their side. The drive rack in my case at home sits sideways and I've never had a single problem with any of the drives in the case. In fact much like Drop125 I've put HD's in my case just hanging from the IDE cable and it worked just fine. I wouldn't recommend it for a long term solution but it will work until you can get a bigger case. As far as propping it up on it's side I would make sure that it i
Are there any in depth docs on the DX object model? I want to cause the timer of one object to fire from another object. Is this possible?
OK, if you are still having problems try this.. If both versions of WB show as un-installed in SDC browse to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds and as was suggested before copy ALL of your skin directories to a temporary location. once you've done this completely delete the Windowblinds folder.. If it won't let you delete it completely reboot and then completely delete it.. Now, go ahead and select the Windowblinds 4 version in SDC and select install. Let it do its thing and t
I've seen some stats on these sorts of things and I'd have to say the reason these people do it is because there is BIIIGGGG money in products to, as was stated in an earlier post, help men who are insecure in their manhood.. Tech Cat, I don't really think that would work because the people who are sending these messages use every trick in the book to forge the headers in the messages they send so tracing them would be difficult at best. Anyway, thanks for the great laugh D
Well, the Sony site says my monitor will go up to 2304 x 1440 but I've never tried it, I find 1920X1200 or 1920X1440 to be the best resolution for me..
Optiplex is the business line.. They are extremely stable because DELL tends to go with hardware that is tried and true for that line. Optiplex's are good machines, I've used many in my day but you definitely won't find any cutting edge hardware in them. If you go to the Small business section you'll find an OptiPlex section and you can see what options are given for them. HTH <img src="http
I tend to agree with Frogboys outlook on this. I spend >$100 quite regularly for things I use maybe 5 times and then just leave sitting on a shelf somewhere.. I'd spend the $129 on DXPro just to be able to give my parents and sister an easy way to do things on the computers I built and gave for them about a year ago. I could very easily make a "Control Center" that could allow one-click access to common tools like Disk Defragmenter, Disk Clean-up etc. that they would never know about otherwise.
I have a question for all of you people who never seem to reboot your computers.. Are you using the latest versions of WB? The reason I ask is that it seems EVERY time I've installed the latest veriosn of WB from SDCentral it's made me reboot my computer.. Does everyone else just ignore that reboot the PC prompt? On a more thread friendly note, I will absolutely use the new BootSkin app once it gets a tad more polish. I am specifically waiting for it to support more colors.. If I need t
Scooby, as with most things if you can't find a section for it or a link that is easy to find then it's not released yet and is only available via SDCentral with a subscription to Object Desktop. Here's a link to the information about IconDeveloper but it is indeed a new component for Object Desktop: https://www.stardock.com/products/icondeveloper/.
OK, It's been ages since I've tried msstyles but I think the reason people don't understand the memory issues related to msstyles is because there aren't any indications of how much memory a skin running on msstyles is using. If I remember correctly the skinning engine shows up as one or more of the many svchost.exe processes in the task manager. Now, this can be mis-leading because even running Windowblinds I currently have 4 svchost processes the biggest of which is 23,480K. So, perhaps since
As a subscriber to OD for 4 years now I agree with the majority of people who think that raising the price of an OD subscription to pay for the WC site is a bit unfair to the people who buy OD. As a subscriber to the WC site I would be willing to pay more for the right to download unlimited content for the subscription period, I'm not sure why but the $20/1 yr or $35/2 years seemed good to me. I would also like to say that it seems unfair to try and cap users who although the pay do not "contrib
24" Sony GDM-FW900 I love it but it's a beast!! Has to be pushing 100lbs. It'll do until LCD's mature a bit more.. The picture always seems grainy to me. Maybe I'm just imagining that though.
so far so good.. only problewms I've had are disappearing systray icons or partially covered systray icons. displaying the clock in the systray seems to fix the glitch though. I did get a memory at address 0x???? could not be read error the first time I loaded WB as well. but I haven't really had any issues that make me want to change back, the speed improvements alone are enough to stick with WB4.. keep up the great work!!
same problem here.. Cross referenced account from my stardock purchases and still get the too busy error.
