Generalization is bigotry in itself. You paint this picture of liberals and Democrats in order to uphold your own superiority. I suppose by that same argument I must ask how many abortion clinics you've blown up? how is it that you get in your basement with your collection of ak-47s? But you must get in the basement so you can watch every episode of desperate housewives, tape it so you can watch it multiple times and rewind to the extreme pa

I have been told the hotmail problem may be due to a limit on the amount of space on free hotmail accounts. I sent the files to citizen latour, citizen fillibuster and to mark again with only the candidate files. A good place to find pics for the candidates is http://www.campaignbuttons-etc.com/ Link

Here's why I don't believe Frogboy when he said the only advantage the computer has in the upper levels is monetary. By turn 23 Reagan had already used 54 political capital an average of 7 stamina per turn on just political capital. He was even getting more than one endorsement a turn on some turns and not just the cheaper ones that agree with his party. He was also giving speeches, placing ads heavily, fund raising and travelling about the country.

This is not the stated intent of political parties. We're supposed to have them because they're designed to give individual voters more influence than they'd have alone. But in the two-party monopoly our country has, what choices are there? As the Republicans and Democrats co-operate mo

I created a lot of candidates yesterday, I'd have to get them from my other PC. I think I forgot LBJ, is he already on the game? (I haven't played in the Democratic Scenario yet) Yes he is. That's why I said not to change his name or the game wouldn't save two files with the same name.

Just played as Mondale with RFK vs. Eisenhower. It was great! I wouldn't have thought of that one, and would have considered RFK for the top spot but that's wild. I think an interesting race would be Truman vs Eisenhower. In 1952 I think Eisenhower would have won big, just as he did against Stevenson,

Just had my closest fight in my narrow win of FDR over TR in campaign mode on painful level. I won the EC 270-268 but lost the popular vote 75.36 mill to 76.64 mill (2000 anyone). He outspent me $34.35-26.11 million but I outspent him in political capital 42-26 but much of that was to get fixers to get rid of his operatives. He got the business and NOW endorsements while I got the foreign policy and union

Early on I made very sure I placed intimidators in states where I knew it was going to be a fight. I would use spin merchants or smear merchants in highly contested states, and intimidators in states that I did not plan to return to. The intimidator simply lowers opponents presence which can be made u

Some of the candidates you mentioned are locked in the campaign mode. When you defeat that candidate, you are able to play it. There are plenty of candidates on here that can be downloaded, including a thread that I started. Do not change the core candidates file though, or you will have trouble playing some aspects of the game.

No offense, whoman. How old are you anyway? You sound like a little kid who has never lived before Reagan or at least never read anything before Reagan. So if you don't support what Reagan did then you are a little kid? I am 41 years old. Small government, big deficits, got it. Nope doesn't

Awsome! 2 things: 1. FDR, Reagan, Ford were the same as game execpt different names! 2. You should make other people! I copied them for those who had not unlocked them. The have different names because if you try to create two characters with the same name they will not be allowed, even if you

I surprisingly found Nixon rather easy to beat. On the Dem side I had a great deal of trouble with the equivelent character Clinton. The computer starts ads very early and gets a great advantage from the start on the issues. Nixon hit hard on the war on Iraq but I left that alone, preferring to try to catch up on war on terror and homeland security. I built webmasters in Florida and California and hit the airwaves hard with 4 TV ads in each state.

Wrong! If Democrats do not even know their history and simply listen to someone on TV so that they can be brain-washed, then there is no help. Look, the major differences between Democrat ideas and Republican ideas had been between: social/wearefare government (remember FDR's New Deal?)

The Dems need to nullify Bush's advantage by pointing out that in four years time the same issues will be on the board. Despite Bush's pro-life stance he will do nothing to promote the banning of abortion across America because A) it wouldn't pass in most areas and B) would eliminate his top issue to mobilize his base. The Dems need to point out that allowing the issue to continue is the same as opposing it. Its all well and good to say you're again
