I'm using the latest beta of Icon Packager. Fooling around with Pix Studio I would have a icon for word documents from Icon a Day. I found if you have one of the newer packages loaded that has word document icons it will keep that icon when you switch to an older package that doesn't have one. Also if you right click on the icon you want to change and go to properties, then icon tab, then change icon, then browse it should have this in the drop down me

I use Windowblinds on a year old HP with no problems. Perhaps one of the bundled programs conflicts. Had Norton 2004 bundled but stopped using it at about the same time I purchased Object Desktop. Too many conficts with too many programs, not just StarDock programs. Which version of WindowBlinds are you using? It should show something even using WB5. The onboard graphics might not show it correctly but it should show.

Restarting worked. It's weird that unloading Cursor fixes the Arrow start button glitch though. This was the first time I had the cursor glitch. Hadn't been changing blinds since yesterday when I did the final update to WB5, did a few then looking at the new stuff.

I just posted this in another thread but just in case it gets lost I'm posting it again. I just discovered something. Out of the blue my cursor started to go behind the title bar while using Cyclops WB. The buttons still glow and work but the cursor is under them. Switched to Arrow, same thing and additionally the cursor goes behind any transparent borders. Disabled Cursor XP and default cursor works as it should. Whats weird is that the start bu

I tried this. Brought up display properties to see if anything had changed. Just clicking on the tabs froze everything up. Didn't try to change anything was just looking. Re-activated themes, wasn't worth trying to figure out what was happening for a miniscule amount of resources.

I also think the download, comment first idea has merit Yes, no one should be allowed to comment or rate something that they haven't downloaded. Comments do have their place though. I'm sure the skinners appreciate the thanks and good reviews and it is a way for people to report bugs and such. I don't

the rating goes to 1 star because the auto rating is overwritten. Why is this allowed? I only comment or rate when I see something I really like. I would gladly give up this access if it meant that skinners wouldn't have to put up with the idiots. We all have to put up with enough of them in the real

Had a graphic problem using Firefox. The Forum Menu was trying to twin itself. So I was using different browsers to see if happened anywhere else. When I brought up WC Browser and clicked on News/Web Browser I started to get a download of of a Icon Package I already have, DE Metal Black V15. I hardly ever use WC Browser and can't remember whether I started a download and stopped it at some time and closed the browser or what "?". This is the only thing

I found a card for PCI that works great for WB5. BFG NVidia 5500 OC 256MB at Walmart for 130$. If I had known about such things when I bought my computor I wouldn't have bought one with PCI but I'm stuck with it for a while. They also have a AGP card, same specs.

MS Antispyware is one of the better ones out there, according to what I have heard. I've been running MS Antispyware for months now. I scan at least once a week and it hasn't found anything since the first couple of scans. I hope this is a good thing. Spybot and AdAware always find a few things. Alway

Mine is slightly different. Load the skin and there is a line through it like top image. Left clicking on the task bar clears it though. When I bring up the start menu it covers the top of the button. Using 4.99RC. Didn't have this with the last build. This is on the updated version of Arrow. Can't recall whether the button was covered by the start button before.

I finally saw the speed some have raved about. Up until the last two builds it took 10-15 seconds for a blind to load. Now it's about 2-3 seconds. Still afraid to delete though, I deleted Arrow and uploaded the update and had no problems but I've had other random crashes loading blinds and I'm never sure when something else might happen. Never had a problem loading from config. though. Haven't heard anything about whether the deleting skins problems a

There are going to be cards/drivers that some of the new skinning features do not work on with this build. From Stardock Central. Sorry but this applies to you kmkkid. After I got my first computor a year ago the first thing I learned was that the onboard graphics cards were only useful for the basic things that a computor displays. The first game I bought would not run at all. First upgrade was to ATI 9200 128MB, worked adequately for 10 months, not g

Just remembered what I was doing. The main problem was with AOL. Sometimes it would not start. But a restart would fix it. When I restarted I would get the end program popups for waol and gcasServ. First indication of something not right was a message from AOL about losing service when system went to standby. I thought it might have been from a auto update. I thought the gcas ran all the time and was confused as to why it was causing a conflict and ne

This probably isn't relevant but for the last fews days I've had a problem with parts of AOL and MS antispyware hanging when going to standby. Slow shut down and restart. Gcasserv and woal.exe. The last time explorer was hanging too. Panicked and did a hard reboot. Just checked my MS update history and the last one was on 10 Nov. dealing with a security problem in the Graphics Rendering Engine. The last MS antispyware update was on the 17th. This cou
