Carrara and Hexagon have since been bought by DAZ. You can still get upgrades and special deals though. They bought the contracts for the Carrara developers so hopefully Carrara will continue to develop in the future. If you buy DAZ's Platinum Club deal, $29.95 US to join, $7.95/month thereafter, they have some outrageous deals occasionally. I joined to get Hexagon for $1.95. Since then e-Frontier (Poser) bought Amapi and Eovia is no more. Hexagon uses some of Amapi's code so I'm a little concer

I've bought from Purplus twice and had no problems what so ever with them. Bought Carrara 3 for 50$ and upgraded to Carrara 5 for 80$. Ended up with the newest version for less than half price. Upgraded my other purchase for a substantial discount. Both of these were packaged versions and was curious if the original companies would treat an OEM purchase in the same manner. Seems like it. It's a nice way to save yourself some money.

The transparent taskbar option in Windows FX got deleted in the last update. If you have auto archived you can go back to the last version and get the option back. I still have a semi-transparent task bar but no way to change it unless I revert to the last version. I had the option selected when I updated.

Mostly fast for me. Occasional lags searching the forums. I seem to have more problems with lags when using Firefox. If I switch to IE or MSN Explorer the lags usually go away or don't seem to be as long. Tonight I got the log out problem when switching forum sections twice. Haven't seen that for a few weeks. I used Ccleaner tonight and have it set to not delete WC cookies. I had the gallery on the main page reduced with the new wrench gadget but it re

This came up months ago. Some others and I had the same thing happening. No response except for this shouldn't be happening. Sent in screen shots to show that it was. Didn't hear anymore about it but when I tried the skin again after a couple of WB updates the effect was gone. I assumed that one of the updates had fixed it. Odd that it has shown up again. Still works right for me.

Check out Purplus.com. Link They have some really good prices on graphics hardware. Check specifications to see whether it is boxed, OEM or CD only. I ordered Carrara from them and got it in about a week.

Will this be corrected soon? When I mouse over the clock in the system tray I no longer am able to see the day and date pop up. I can see a ghost of it with FX loaded, but only once. More than once and it's completely gone. With FX unloaded it's completely gone. All the other pop ups in the system tray are working. Didn't have this problem till the last update of FX.

I'm in Colorado and on 1.5 DSL. I get Server to busy about 5% of the time. If I start getting problems I switch from Firefox to IE and it seems to work a little better. In another thread Neal said the new servers would be up in a week. Hope so.

SureDelete deletes the ghost stuff left over when you uninstall a program or delete a file. The stuff that allows you to retrieve accidently deleted items. It's all still in there somewhere. I tried it out after reading Starkers other thread about it and it does work. It cut my scan time with Avast almost in half. Just be sure to run SD Disk and not the other parts of the program or you will permanently delete things you don't want to.

Here's a link to download.com. Saw one that does icons. Don't know anything about any other programs except for Stardock. The one I saw has a 14 day trial so you can test it out. Link EDIT I suppose I shouldn't post links to competitors stuff, but I didn't think about it till after I submitted. My first choice is always Stardock.
