Thanks for the clarification, citahellion, you are correct.

Sorry Falwell, but you gained nada in this election. Despite some chest - thumping, the nation won't be returning to Christian values any time soon, though I wish it would.
That was only 22% of the voting public "Morals" were held as the highest concern amongst voters, topping out all other issues. You know this drmiler! Thank you for the voice of reason (as usual) Lee1776... ..and ,yes, Tormenter, there were some poor sports on both sides. I think that just makes the party they're representing look bad, anyone should be
Dearest Helix, I'm certainly unacceptant of your "truth" that the majority of Americans voted the way they did because of lefty criticism of the Bush administration. Polls show the majority of those voting for Bush did so because of "moral" reasons as reported by Draginol and the media, at large. "Proof" provided by you via post - election comments given by JU forum users fails to qualify your argument. I would think that enou
I'm going out on a limb when I assume you voted for Kerry? If so, how care you even dare attempt to tell the people who voted for Bush why they did? You're not one of them! That is the ignorant, arrogant, self-righteous pompous attitude that MADE people like lil_whip go vote. You! Your antagonistic elitest "step off" attitude. You must be in denial to ignore why s
Bakerstreet, I'll be very clear YOU ARE BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE I do not fit with the stereotype you are presenting, please direct your comments to someone else.
Deference, I offer you this in the spirit of a proofreader, not in the spirit of a Liberal-basher: Your post is written in such a way that the obvious reading is not the one you apparently intended. The fact that you are quoting from the article you link to is not at all apparent. The title also gives the impression that you are stating a surprising fact, in opposition to your later claim that you are requesting verification. T
Shows how far into denial Liberals are. They can't accept that anyone they would vote for could lose. Fact is though, he lost by millions of votes. Let them console themselves with conspiracy theories. It just makes them look like nuts and less palatable to undecided voters. ...shows just how far some will go for a cheap shot, nice and low! So much for voting for character and morals. No conspiracy theory here, the provisional votes ar
"Youre quite insane, you know. Rumours are just that, rumours...as in unfounded, unproven, speculation.....you know....rumours! Facts are facts though. You didnt request more information on a rampant rumour. You stated it was TRUE." Little whip, that's the first line of the link. Go bonk someone else over the head... Keep the sore winners coming! Reall
It's all well explained up there in post #3 and #5. Thank you, drive thru.
Moreover, the oil sanction didn't work for 12 years That's what we are told, but in reality, we suffered no detriment from them as opposed to this conflict. I don't think there is any question that Saddam has the technology for chemical weapons That's never been substantiated. It was true that at one point, he did, but no immediate threat was ever known, only threatened of by those that led us in to the war. <br
Not very good about staying on Topic. The topic was the revocation of rights, and all 3 did that. That one was repealed is irrrelevant since it was passed. and the rights were revoked. So that destroys the posters arguement that Good try at "shaking the tree" but no dice. I addressed each of the Amendments you hand picked. The fact that the one amendment that actually did take away a personal liberty was the 18th amendment which, sin
Keep dreaming, keep trying to delegitimize the mandate that Bush got. It just shows you to be a poor loser that is stuck in the past and dreaming. What a lack of class. This was a request for more information on a rampant rumour, it in no way reflects some "poor loser stuck in the past "mentality. I can provide you an excellent example of a poor winner in reply #21, though.... <img src="../images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALI
Did you notice the ads to the right and left of the article? It is for Air America, the "European Left" and other Liberal/Democratic outlets. That doesn't really discredit this, but it shows that the author wants with all his heart Kerry to win. That was the only link I was able to find concerning this, I'm not offering it as evidence that this rumour is true, also I'm wondering what's going on with Wisefawn and why his thread is locked
The problem is that the majority of America doesn't see it that way. Only you! ...make that two. And if 31% of the vote is cause for a mandate, you aren't seeing clearly. Remember, 51% of the vote cast of 60% of total eligible voters results in Bush only being backed by 31% of the nation whereas you have 40% of Americans who are so alienated and disgusted with our system that they didn't
Drmiler, come on, buddy, I'm not looking for opinion, here. I'm looking for anyone with any details concerning this, I don't care which way it goes, I just want to know. I've talked to some who have said this rumor started earlier this morning after some development in Ohio but I can't find out anything more about it. I'd like to know what got Wisefawn all revved up...
I got the tipoff on this from Wisefawn's locked thread. I'm just now scouring for more articles on this subject, I don't know what the news networks are saying, but if anyone has more information on this, either way, I'd like to know for sure.
HOLY SHIT!
Yes, it's true! If all votes are counted in Ohio, Kerry will win the presidency! Try this link: http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=4201
If Bush's new appointees truly are "impartial umpires" then I don't know what all the fuss will be about...
No comment from the JU forum, not possible!
I am sorry the Darfur argument doesn't buy you anything. It doesn't show the invasion is wrong Of course it doesn't prove the invasion itself wrong, it simply shows the lack of consistancy in foreign policy with the precedent set by invading Iraq regarding the humanitarian mission. It also illustrates the point that we can't go 'round the world engaging ourselves in massive military maneuvers willy-nilly. In regards to the oil
In other news: The share prices of wire coathangers companies have skyrocketed.... Hey, you always have a "choice". ...well, maybe the baby doesn't...
What do you get when you have a Republican President, a Republican controlled Senate and House, and a Supreme Court looking to add another one or two justices to the bench? Americans will see in the upcoming four years what fruits will be yielded from this year’s election. According to President Bush, with his “mandate” of 31% of the voting electorate, those fruits will come in the form of an overhaul of social security wherein money will b
First of all, if you want to blame the 6000 children deaths per month to Saddam, why can't I also blame the Iraqis deaths during the Iraq invasion on Saddam? I blame the deaths in Iraq on the dictator who starved his people and failed to provide them with food though it was available through the oil for food program Saddam abused. You are aware of this. You are also aware that though there are people in Darfur suffering humanit
