Hello again

I would like to re-announce to the Community the latest on the tribute suite to BoXXi. We have now voted and with input from BoXXi and from the community it is decided that instead of building a suite from an existing BoXXi work ( fruitloops ) , we will now complete what would have been BoXXi's 100th submussion to WC.

The skin the commiunity has chosen will be One Hundered.

I have uploaded the source to https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=955&libid=18

I now ask the following for volunteers for the following:

Windowblinds

Iconpackager/Dock icons

Dock Backgrounds

DesktopX gadgets (Weather/clock/calendar)

Media player skins (Xion/Winamp/WMP)

Application skins ( Rainlendar/Sysmetric )

I would like to take this opportunity to invite any and all skinners , coders , testers and anyone that can help out to contribute to help out . If you have code or graphics you would like to build your skin around , or to allow this project to use , it would be appreciated.

If someone on the IRC channel has a 24x7 connection , it would be appreciated if a channel #onehundred could be created so we can come in and chat about our ideas.

I would also like to ask that this thread be stickied / an article created for it.

I'll edit this post as we get more into the project.

It needs no reminding , but this is Our tribute to BoXXi.

I have done 2 versions of the DX theme, 1 logonxp, 2 logonvistas(with help from brickhead),a wallpaper in 4 sizes. Anything else needed? If I can help, let me know.

I have not heard from him either. Last I heard he has been having trouble with his ISP. I sent him an email with no response yet, although his personal page says he was online a couple days ago.

Wow. I go on vacation and stuff gets done. Good job guys!

Dunno when I'll be able to get started on the WAClassic .. possibly not for a week or so as I have to work this week and then another trip .. possibly be a bit before I could make any progress/.

Most of what I have seen are not based to Boxxi's graphics. I used none, I don't think kitty did either.

OK...just got the update on what the actual skin is going to look like. Docks are in the making. The ones I started were based on the graphics provided in the graphics section....gotta start all over now. ;p

OK, well it seems to me that almost everything is being made based on the blind, which is as usual. So, it would seem that kitty has already given us what we need. I have gotten permission from brickhead to use some of his graphics. I have given, in this thread, permission for use of my walls, and such. What else is needed?

what happened was boxxi stepped in and gave his suggestions, and from the graphics he gave, i was unable to complete a window blind based on his very few graphics.....

That is what happened webgizmos.....i thought you were up to date on the whole thread, since you volunteered to help?


...just out of curiosity, where did you get the wb from? i could have sent it to you myself....

and i dont want anyone besides the volunteer skinners of this suite to have it until it released....

If no one else is doing a dream for this suite, can someone email me a copy of the wall so I can create one out of it?

I love that, CarGuy!! Some Dreams are so 'busy' that they are a distraction to have behind the windows. This on is subtle...excelent idea!! :CONGRAT:

I know I'm not involved with this project, but I wondered if it would look cooler if the "flash" was at the top of the 100 and disappeared when in between the numbers?

Disregard this if you think it wouldn't look good :)

I was thinking the same thing. The picture I was working from is too low of a resolution to use so I just whipped this up as a demo while waiting for someone to send me the real wall. I was thinking more of along the top of the 100 so it will be behind it the whole time.
