You will have to get used to some of the players Xei. Some hold an incredible sense of humor that reveals itself at weird times. Perhaps one of these time is after a cold beer...just an educated guess.

You know with this victory for the Crusaders we will have trouble shutting Playjeff up. Perhaps a quick trip to Bahrain might be in order for him. Alcohol is illegal there is it not.

I'm interested in joining in the fun whenever the next round kicks off. I just got the game a few days ago, so definitely in the newbie category GalCiv I was kinda fun, but having a BLAST with galciv II now that I finally got around to buying it.

Welcome Vilgan. Neilo (the league commissioner) will most likely be along shortly to assign you to a team.

I'm pretty sure this round ends midnight on the 13th of September (all times are Eastern Daylight Savings Times like the forums). Hopefully Neilo will confirm this as well. We might take a couple of days to discuss a few scoring changes but a reasonable guess as to when the next round will start would be Sept 15th. You should get plenty of notice in this and other MV League threads.

Also each of the teams have private forums at The Galactic Core where strategy is discussed. Don't expect any tremendous insights but there is some useful information exchanged there as well as a good number of GC2 players and other GC2 related topics. Clearly you'll need to know which team you'll be on before you could get access to the team forums but it might help to stop by and get acquainted if all of this is not too overwhelming. If it is then that can wait until later, nor is this by any means required.

Great, perhaps the Team B captain could send off a PM to Vilgan to make sure that he knows. Also help him get set up at the Core if he wishes. All this stuff can be quite intimdating when it's new so it would be good for someone to help him out.

I have an account already made at the Galactic Core. I see the Team B forum, but have not received any info on the password or whatever to access it.

As for all the shameless plugs, I dunno... I clicked to join the Diplomats (don't think anything has happened) since they seem like a good/helpful group of people. There were some other empires that I liked the premise (Dune based one, BSG based one etc) but seemed inactive.. or at least the leader hadn't posted a game in months.

A PM is a nice touch but shouldn't be required. Posting the request in this thread as you've already done should be sufficient. Neilo should be along shortly to assign you to a team. If not we'll poke him with a sharp stick to get him moving.

As thebutterfly mentioned we are about to start another round in a day or two so your timing is good. Not to imply to anyone else that you can only ask at certain times. The MVL is always open and never sleeps.

Hi Berzelius, welcome to the league. I am posting from work atm and don't have my team sheet with me so i will assign you a team later, but IIRC we now have enough for a fifth team.

that being the case round 3 will start a little later than usual whilst we sort ouot a few streamlining rule changes and a new team. WhooHoo!!

I hope you are right. However, with 4 non-submittals in the 2nd round I wouldn't be so quick to form a 5th team. I would suggest that if we really have 20 folks we should probably go for at least one round with 5 on all 4 teams and see how that goes. If we get some noshows then we have a enough folks that it doesn't mess things up as much. If it all works out fine for a month then perhaps we could go to a 5th team. Also if someone else wants to join then perhaps we'll be forced into a 5th team. In any case one suggestion on our table for discussion is the possibility of making the base team size 5. This is starting to look like a good suggestion from my perspective.

I tend to agree with Mumble on this point at the moment until we get a few more players.
