Btw, neilo. You dont have enough players for a team E yet. Macmatt resigned from the league to focus on his studies. A very admirable deed. Since I know whats that like, I can tell you that as his acedemic year gets further ahead he will be even more busy.
Tests and mid-term exams start in october and the beginning of november. Although I cant be sure of his exact dates I can compare them to my own schedule in the same grade.

So Team D is the only team with 3 players.

I think it's technically Neilo's place to assign the team, however in this case your logic is probably inescapable. Still I would await the formality of Nielo's confirmation before the Team D captain gives Berzelius the password to the Team D forum.

You did mention that a space on Team C is reserved for Darth_Silhouette and we all hope for his return but in the meantime that he doesn't count as a Team C member for scoring purposes until he does return.

Also Neilo mentioned that CornHuskerMac PM'd him with notice of being unable to submit this round and so that shouldn't count against Team A in anyway either. It would be good to know if this is to be a single occurance or if this is something more long term. Perhaps Neilo has more info.


I'm not quite sure about the best communication but it is clear that Team C does contain the most prolific talkers.

Yea, i had forgot about Macmatt's resignation when i posted the 5 team comment, oh well, moving on.

Obviously TP is correct, team d is the logical home for Brezelius.

As for CornhuskerMac, i dont recall the entire pm but i seem to think it was only a temporary situation. I'm sure he will pop in at some point and clarify for us.

This is pretty much all you have to do. Neilo will be along before too long to randomly assign you to a team. The round just started today so there should be no issue in starting right away. The only thing is that Neilo is on the wrong side of the planet (down under as they say) for an immediate response (it's between 2 and 4 in the morning at the moment dependent on where in Australia he lives).

One thing you could get started on is to get registered at The Galactic Core where we have private forums for each team. This is by no means required so you aren't obligated to do this but having a private forum to discuss team strategy is a nice thing to have.

Welcome Ferrel, glad you want to join. Make sure to check out all the threads and the current game that is in MVL Round 3 thread.

I have spun up the random generator and it has placed you into Team A. The A-team.

If you can just post back in here what characteer you are going to use for the league that would be helpfull.

No, no real need to change or create a new character. It is up to you. If you do use a current character for the league, when you post your game, be sure to include the specific's so we know exactly which game you are referencing.

We now have 18 active players(only active ones). 19 once Cornhusker returns.

Possibly 20 if Darth_Silhoutte returns as well. I want to emphasize that even though someone disappears unexpectedly that we would still give them the benefit of the doubt and unreservedly welcome them back.

However, if someone makes a "habit" of this then our patience is not infinite. I don't think we have to setup any formal rules in this regard. Folks will be free to express their opinion and the Commissioner can simply make a pronouncement on a case by case basis.

Hmmm, this should make you happy neilo. We now have enough players for Team E. Although I would advise holding on before doing anything hasty.

If we create another team, there is the risk of non-submital.

If we keep 5 players each team then 1 player will have to be the 6th.

My suggestion for this:

Each team will have 5 player teams all of whom apply for bonus points. The sixth player will be acting as the 5th does right now. Each 6 player team would assign two players on one victory condition which would not be military. Military can only get 1 person per team(for obvious reasons).

It mainly revolves around not having team E until a solution can be found.

One other thing is if you shuffle people out of each team into a new one all the passwords for the Team's forums will have to be changed. Which shouldn't be to big of an issue but just wanted to make note of it.

Yep. It's true that the password's will need to be changed but it's also true this is no real big deal. It's why the forums were setup with passwords instead of access control lists. However, we don't want to end up churning on this so we should make sure we're set to go before making the change.


I don't agree with this (for this round) because it opens up questions about scoring that were difficult enough decide when we had the time to discuss it between rounds. I think the simplest solution for the moment, that keeps scoring the same is to keep everything "as is" and the 6th player on one team is treated as a 2nd 5th player. Hopefully this makes sense.

Long term I agree that trying to keep 5 on a team is a good idea as protection from an unavoidable non-submittal, but we can discuss this fully after this current round is over. Also I don't think it's a good idea to make new players wait until next round unless the current round is just about over and even then it should be the new players choice whether to wait or not. In any case I've expressed my opinion and anyone that wishes to express their opinion should do so quickly.

At this moment we don't have the time to debate it and so I suggest that Neilo just make a decision for this round and that be it until we have more time to discuss this at the end of the round.

Also Neilo does need to make the team assignments to the new players.

I agree. We really can't add a 5th team in the middle of a round, it would really mess things up as far as who has already done which game. If it was a single victory condition round it perhaps could be done but not with multiple victories in play.

thanks for the welcome; i'm starting my game tomorrow (since i have the day off woot woot!) and so for whatever team I am shuffled into i will have it ready (obv. I know I won't have the victory condition set yet, but I'll just play it openly since I can work out most end-game strategies from my overall play style)

I also agree with the fact that they all be allowed to participate in this round, as it has just begun.

my internet is down til friday (my roomie didn't pay the cable bill this month). is there a way to save an MV score and submit it from another computer? or can i take a screen shot?

oh, and this one will be under the MV character "nikonoclasm." it's sort of a dry run, and my first MV game- ever (i'll create EarthBender soon). i have to admit, there's a certainly level of excitement to playing MV that i haven't experienced since i was learning the game.
