The team assignments have been made and I'll check into setting up private forums for each team at the Core.

The first rounds game has yet to be assigned nor has the timeframe for it (unless I've missed and announcement somewhere).

Yes we will need a team captian for the rounds that have 4 different challenges, ie tech, conquest, alliance, influence....

It will be the captain's role to decide which player is assigned to achieve which goal.

Just so everyone knows i am in the middle of a block of double shifts at work (16hr shifts) so for a another day or so i won't be on the forums much.

So Neilo your saying that future rounds will have the seperate victory types? With this round being a single(Tech) most had assumed we wouldn't be needing captains. So I guess The A Team needs to find it's Hannibal   .

Oh OK. I had assumed the same as DA but I think it would be good to mix up the victory conditions on occasion as well.

By the way every team that wants one can have a private team forum at the Core. If someone on the team is comfortable with it just PM Damoose with the team name and member names. You probably should wait until all members are registered at the Core before requesting this thoug just so that it all can be done once at the same time.

Any team that perhaps isn't that used to the Core and wishes me to make the request just let me know. You can send me a PM if you want or just make a post in any of the MV league threads I pretty much monitor them all. But as I suggested make sure everyone on the team is registered before making the request just to avoid having to do things more than once.

For any not already registered at the Galactic Core just follow the link, enter the forum and where it says Welcome Guest click on Register. All you need is an email address. I do ask that you use the same name you use here just to avoid confusion although technically this isn't required.

I know the rules are that I can only play the difficulty of my medal.
But that was a military defeat. I refused to pay tribute to the drengin thinking that they are too far away and are already at war with the Torians(who are my neighbors which separates me from drengin). They came and took my worlds and the terrans killed me off.

So can I play at normal? (Yes, I am new to DA)

I see no problem. The rule pertaining to the difficulty level is more aimed at us veteran's who have a great deal of experiance from playing on an easier level to exploit the scores. So i am happy for you to play at normal.

I'm sure no-one else has an issue with this, the more we can accommodate new players, the more we will get.

Yup, as we get players we are adding them to new teams. Once we have a few more players, those new players (the 5th player from the teams) will each by taken and used to form a whole new team. It would of course be totally unfair to you, to have you in a team of just you and 1 other maybe. As the players come we will just juggle the teams around.

As for having extra than the other teams, the rule is that in a team of 5 the person with the lowest score will not have their score counted. That way only 4 players from each team are contributing to the teams tally.

Count me in as well, if I can still get in on this round. I have been following these posts with interest, but wasn't sure if I'd have the time for something like this. But I think with the smaller games I shouldn't have any trouble. It sounds like a fun way to get some interest back into the game.

@neilo, I've lost track of how many folks we have now in the league. If my count serves me right I think we now have 3 teams of 5 and only one of 4 which would give us enough for a new team with one more player. Is this correct?

Anyway, it might be a good idea after a few new folks have joined to repost the team listings so that everyone know who's on what team.

We have 2 teams of five players and 2 of four. Now that is subject to Jeremy G checking in, which as i am aware he has not yet. He is currently in team D and with Elwood's addition gives them 5, but it might be 4 if Jeremy no shows.

Now as soon as we get another two players the two "fifth" players joined recently will join the new players and form team E. Or if everyone likes i could make it a random selection of two players to move but i think this would be an unpopular move. Thoughts?

We could leave player drops and trades up to each team to decide, with the Commish putting his foot down when there's a dispute.

I could live with this.

There should be some kind of safe guard though, cant have all the good players on one team, it would defeat the purpose of the league.
