Can't find account info HELP IN HERE!

Well, my serial number wasn't working for the Collector's Edition DL and the situation hasn't changed with the patch either. I have been told numerous times that I must have "purchased from a different account than I log in with" but I am positive that I am using the same log in name and e-mail. I have sent a few e-mails to customer service, but no response yet.

It keeps telling me that "Gal Civ 2 Serial code is not register to this account." I have had Stardock look up my code nearly six times now, copy and pasting the code into the both the CE and normal blanks. Has anyone overcome this problem? Is there any other recourse than to just sit back and wait? I really would like the bonus content, and since I pre-ordered nearly a year ago, I feel a bit in need of some attention!

What can I say, I'm an old fan who wants to cash in on my loyalty!

Help I have the same problem.  two accounts, I purchased GalCivII on the new account and now I cant log on with it! I keep getting the account nickname is already in use! My original account doesnt show the download. I have hit the send reg information button about five or six time but I do not receive any email!  Fired off an email to your sales people and have heard nothing!  I need some help here please. Marc,  Your accounts have been merged.

MervDeMan,  I see two accounts that could be yours but I do not have enough similarities between the two to guarantee that they are both yours.  Could you please send me some additional info.  Ie, Mailing addresss or Order Number should do it.

I am having a similar but different problem. I pre-ordered the game through Amazon, the nice retail-box and all.

I had been able to get the first patch on Monday, but when I tried to grab "X" today it tells me that my serial# is not registered. After playing around searching for some place on this website or as part of the game to update that info, I decided to DL the Stardock Central software and install it.

I was able to find the registration tool in SDC but when I put my Serial# in from the back of the CD-case it tells me the following:

The Serial Number you have entered is invalid. Please ensure the information you have entered matches exactly from your order email.

Use the Lookup Serial Number button to resend your account information to the email address you ordered under.

... serial number worked ok on monday through the website to get me "D", any ideas what the problem is now?

I have a similar problem.

I have the ordered address and the startdock.net address being different and neither have my serial.

Any thoughts? I'm currently unable to download GC2.

I seem to be having the same problem

Both of my accounts are on the same email address, but in Stardock Central it keeps telling me that my address wasn't found, and to try again, when I look up serial numbers. Seems kinda strange that it would find my purchase, but not be able to register. Oh well...I'm sure I will love the game, when I finally get a chance to play!

Great news!

Manually updating the serial number in the application with the content of the receipt email appears to have worked. It would be nice to have the issue that caused the automated process resolved, but at least it appears that I will be able to play

I'm having the same issue guys. I bought my copy at Gamestop, and everything was fine until I downloaded and installed the latest patch. (v1.0X) Now I'm having the activation issues. The email address I used was [email protected]. Thanks in advance...

I am having a similar problem! I have e-mailed in the product activation e-mail but it dosen't seem to be getting through. I am doing this on a different pc as the one with GalCiv 2 installed isn't connected to the Net.

Any ideas?

I having the same problem. I bought gal civ2 at a store and was able to download patch d but when I tried to download the x patch this week all I get is either s/n not registered or s/n not registered to this account. Any help please. I really like the game so far but would like to update it with the lastest functionallity.

OK, I think I'm in the same boat here...
I couldn't seem to register (on the website) with either my hotmail address (thats my Stardock account one, I got a syntax error) or my yahoo address (I got a -699 error). So I contacted tech support, they say I'm fine, I dl stardock central and theres GalCiv I & II in Purchased Software... but it says it can't validate my registration for GalCiv II, and I'm getting the 'Invalid Registration' message when I try to play the game. I've tried both the Paradox serial and the serial Stardock mailed me, neither works.
Please help!

I visited the link for Paradox to get the serial number and it keeps saying that the CD number is invalid, entered it multiple times! SDC doesn't recognise it, if I do a lookup it only brings up the number for my old copy of GC1, I can't seem to be able to register to update ANYWHERE, the game crashes every time I try to save a custom ship... I think that I'll take it back to the store on Monday, this has been the most frustrating experience in years.

I bought the download version of GalCiv2, dowloaded on my work computer (don't have internet at home). I tested it and it worked. Then I followed the instructions about archiving a game to use on a HOMECOMPUTER. I archived the game and burned it on a DVD along with stardock central installation.

Back home, I installed stardock, de-archived the game from the DVD. BIG PROBLEM, at launch, the game keeps asking for activation (activation failed at install with an error message). Altrhough I put the serial number of the game in stardock central, it keeps requiring activation. And as my homecomputer is not connected, it CAN'T ACTIVATE the game !! Really I don't understand what must be done, coud someone help please ??

Finally found what might be the solution. I sent an email to [email protected] with the data given to me when trying to activate offline...all this what not clear I think. I hope this time it works. I've 20 minutes by car to get to internet access...

Do someone know how much time it takes to get the instructions ? I might consider not waiting all day long...Thanks !

Citizen Teknoholic: Your account looks okay.
Gianna Masetti: A Galactic Civilizations 2 registration is present in your account. (I assume you've gotten this registered?) Try updating your game if you haven't already. If the issue you describe persists, please post your debug.err (from GC2 dir) in another thread along w/ a description of the events leading up to the problem.

My friend bought GalCiv2 for me online from you guys. I have the game installed but I can't download any updates. It says no registration info found. Please help!
I already have a stardock account since I have Gal Civ 1. My name and email: Gerald Hom - [email protected].
He tried changing his account to my email but didn't work.

I am also having problems getting the game register, the email that gets sent to me comes to the same email address as this account and i have no clue what is going wrong. Adding onto this when i check support for my registration numbers it doesn't send the one for galactic civ 2, just those that i registered before. I am not sure why it didn't get set to the email this account is set to as i got the registeration code... The other possiblity and the only thing i can think of as why to this does not work is that the game was registered as a gift and there was not an email address present in the gift portion.. It might be confusing my older account which i now got the information back for "distroey" with the related hotmail link that can be upgraded to the email for this account (or you can leave it as the other one and i'll change it)

An update to this at the bottom of the email sent to me has the same email for using the stardock store as my stardock.net account, but the game still will not register.
