Can't find account info HELP IN HERE!

Well, my serial number wasn't working for the Collector's Edition DL and the situation hasn't changed with the patch either. I have been told numerous times that I must have "purchased from a different account than I log in with" but I am positive that I am using the same log in name and e-mail. I have sent a few e-mails to customer service, but no response yet.

It keeps telling me that "Gal Civ 2 Serial code is not register to this account." I have had Stardock look up my code nearly six times now, copy and pasting the code into the both the CE and normal blanks. Has anyone overcome this problem? Is there any other recourse than to just sit back and wait? I really would like the bonus content, and since I pre-ordered nearly a year ago, I feel a bit in need of some attention!

What can I say, I'm an old fan who wants to cash in on my loyalty!

Hi, I have serious problems registrating galciv II

stardock central

First i'am not sure i i have typed the seriel correct, because i can not tell the difference between zero (0) or the letter O on the small label on the manual. And yes i have tried changing between zeros and letters it's still no difference.

Galciv2 website

If i try typing my serial with the letter O on the website i get a error code

Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Operator is not valid for type 'DBNull' and type 'Integer'.

and so on...

if i type in the one with zeros i get the message:

Error 12: Invalid Collectors Edition Serial Number

* You Collectors Edition Serial was not registered. Please check your number and try again.

Please anyone HELP!!!!!!

AND yes this is a duplicate post, i have already posted on the stardock support forum but i have noy recived a reply.

I am having the same problem as the other posters here - a store bought copy of the collectors edition with a serial number that is not recognized by Stardock. Can you help?

Cancel - I checked all the other posts and found the Paradox link which worked for me.

I also have a problem. I bought the game (Collectors Editon) from an UK store and was able to use my email address to download the Stardock content. No problems.

I then downloaded v1.1 beta but it wouldn't accept the CE serial number as the activation code. I then used the option which said something like 'Bought in Europe? Get new serial numbet here'. I put in the CE serial number but it woudln't accept it. I put it in again in lower case and it said that the serial number was connected to another email address. I have two email addresses, one of which is for family and friends only, and I know I didn't use that one.

I contacted Stardock and got a reply asking if I had activated the Stardock content and I replied saying yes. I also gave them the CE serial number they asked for. Since then, nothing.

I click on the GC2 icon on my desktop and it keeps asking me for the activation code. I haven't been able to play GC2 for 4 days now and I'm getting really p*ss*d off. All I want is a working activation code so I can download updates and play the game.

Wait for Wednesday. That was the day when my support ticket at stardock was answered. In my case Derek B. He helped me only on Wednesdays. Don't know if he is the only parttime support guy. But for me - whether by coincidence or not - Wednesday was the golden day. Look at my thread https://www.galciv2.com/Journals.aspx?AID=110280 and maybe the links inside will help you. (My problem was another than yours, but they suggested me a solution that sounds like it could help you).

Back when I bought GalCiv, I had an email address that has since changed (insofar as it dropped on "name" from the domain). Not realizing this, I purchased GalCiv 2 with the new (shorter) email address and am now unable to download it.

Emailed support but no reply so far.

I actually purchased GalCiv2 at the store and the game installed fine with the serial number... but now Stardock Central does not like my serial number and I can't download any updates... HELP.

This is a US retail version purchased at Electronics Boutique... not Collector's Edition.

I am having the exact same problem, except that it's a store bought copy, please help!

Hey. I just brought the game and instantly recieved my confirmation and serial number in an email.
However when I try to register the game on Stardock Central so i can download it I get the error:

"The email address you entered does not match our records."

However it SHOULD. I havn't changed my email address at all, and it is the same one I used to purchase the game AND setup Stardock. It doesn't have any funky characters in it either and I have typed it in correctly every time.

So I click the option for Stardock to send me an email with all the serials for the games I have purchased. And guess what? It's not showing Galactic Civilisations 2 or the serial. What the hell is going on? I've brought the game, got the confirmation and the serial key, and somehow it can't find anything?

Any help would be insanely appreciated.

I have installed the patch and unlocked the bonus material for GalCiv2 LE. When I try to start the game, it asks info for activation. I enter my emailaddress and serial code correctly and all I get is an error message. So I think have the problem as everyone else, who have writen here.

Please, help me!! My galactic fever is soon getting dangerously high if can't get playing

Same Problem here, Both my CE serial numbers seem useless and I've been getting nowhere with tech support for a week. I had another account for GC 1 with a different name and email. I don't know how they could have got confused.
Would sure like to play with the patch. I also pre ordered GC2 and bought GC 1. This is a drag.

This has probably been mentioned before, but the only thing that ended up working for me was manual activation, after numerous emails to tech support.

Go to this webpage for instructions:
Link

make sure when you enter your serial number that's it's all caps (at least, that's what it needed from me). I didn't receive any notification but the next day Stardock Central said my game was registered and I was able to fully use and update it. Hopefully this will help someone.

I received GalcivII for my birthday on the 2nd of July. I still can't play my birthday present because I registered Galciv I under the same email address, and the serial number that is registered is for the first game. I can't activate and I can't play. I have sent two emails to support with no response. Please help.

I, like everyone else can't update my game version. I bought a used version out of a store and some time ago was able to update without any troubles and now i'm being told of a conflict between e-mail registered and serial #. Just in case i ran ALL of my current e-mail adresses (and a few of my old ones)through your recovery system, all of them came back as not being in the data base. So i created a fresh account and tried to register my serial number there only to have it tell my that the serial number is not registered to that account. Confused and lost now, a lil help?

Dustin,

The problem is most like due to purchasing a "used" copy.  The license for GalCiv2 is non transferable and most likely the serial number with the game had already been registered to the original owner.

There is an upgrade path that is offered to get an official version if this is the case.  You best course of action is to email [email protected] with this problem.  Be sure to include your email address and your serial number and they will be able to assist you further.

I seem to be having a similar problem as well. I created this account years ago. I recently purchased a retail version of Galciv 2 and registered it useing a different email and password. no problems untill I changed my email address and tried to update my profile. the page locked up and now I can't login at all. I only discovered this old account by accident, I had forgot all about it.
