Can't find account info HELP IN HERE!

Well, my serial number wasn't working for the Collector's Edition DL and the situation hasn't changed with the patch either. I have been told numerous times that I must have "purchased from a different account than I log in with" but I am positive that I am using the same log in name and e-mail. I have sent a few e-mails to customer service, but no response yet.

It keeps telling me that "Gal Civ 2 Serial code is not register to this account." I have had Stardock look up my code nearly six times now, copy and pasting the code into the both the CE and normal blanks. Has anyone overcome this problem? Is there any other recourse than to just sit back and wait? I really would like the bonus content, and since I pre-ordered nearly a year ago, I feel a bit in need of some attention!

What can I say, I'm an old fan who wants to cash in on my loyalty!

Help FROGBOY,  I can't update to the latest GCII DL edition.  I know my email address changed since I was laid off, and lost my old company account, and now have a personal yahoo account.  I have the Collectors Edition, which seems to have most of the problems.  I also successfully upedated the game at one point, but that was before the Impulse program.

 

Let me know if there is any way I can update, or just tell me I am SOL.

If you no longer have access to the email that you registered the game to, contact [email protected] for help with updating it to your new one.

I also had the same problem: 2 accounts, with one registered and updated, - accountdata forgotten and new registered -> no updates possible with the new account :-/

I can't register my Galactic Civilizations II Limited Edition, it tells me that the serial number I have is invalid. I have a GC2- serial on the box, but I also wrote down a long (loooong) serial a couple of years ago when I first registered the game after I bought the game and I had this problem, but that one isn't accepted either for some reason. I have no idea what email address I used to register it under as it was a long, long time ago.

If you already registered it once, you cannot register it again to a different address. If you contact [email protected], they should be able to help you locate and recover the original account.

Same thing is happening to me. I just got the ultimate bundle. The serial numbers are the same for the game and expansion packs. Should I email [email protected]?

Ok, solved my problem myself. I just got the email and the serial numbers for the expansion packs are different from what Impulse entered in when I put the order in. Corrected the serial numbers and it's downloading now! :-)

If you start impulse and then click the question mark in the right hand corner you will find a 'look up serial number' selection. Clicking on this will email you your serial numbers to your registered email.

Open the email and find your serial numbers and then go to impulse and use the serial numbers there to register the expansions.

If for some reason the serial number are the same you need to email [email protected] to have them send them to you.

They usually respond within 24-48 hours and are excellent in their assistance. However please do not send in another request as it will drop you down the waiting list due to their tracking software for support requests.

Hi,

I just wanted to see if you could help. My Serial # appeared to be valid (I remember no error messages) however my Impulse account is either locked or perhaps attached to a previous e-mail. It's strange though when I tell the Impulse patcher window that I've lost my password I am sent a blank e-mail from Gamestop support. I've e-mailed Gamestop support as well as Stardock but I get auto-reply e-mails. 

I also tried to create an account to review my ticket through support and was told that my e-mail was already an account in use, but there no e-mail is sent when I tell the support login that I've forgotten my password. I can log into these forums, just fine, but not support? 

I'm very confused by all this. Even an explanation of why I can't patch would be appreciated.

Meh. I was contacted by Gamestop and told they have no Gal.Civ. account for the serial I have in my manual. And they have no information of me, nor any accounts of any form of someone of my name attached to any Stardock products.

I'll take my business elsewhere.
