Hey HiddenAuror! The big thing we wanted to add across the updates for TPM2020 were the Candidate and Ideology Workshop support, giving modders an easy way to easilly share their creations. We're really happy with how this turned out: In the candidate workshop alone there are over 400 candidates to pick from! Yeah, IIRC Life and Death magic are just the two sides of 'Creation' magic. You have to explicitly play an evil race to have access to it, though.
Yeah, we definatly have some Debate gameplay ideas for next time around, but they just didn't make it in to this version :(
Can you post from your debug.err (my documents/my games/polmachine2008/debug.err). We can get a better look at what's going on from there :)
What you'll want to do is... 1. Start a LAN game on one of the machines. 2. Jot down the IP number displayed in the upper right corner. 3. Have the second player start a lan game, but type use the IP address from the first machine into the upper right window. 4. Press enter! That should do it. Let us know if you continue having issues.
No, it should make no difference, and your computer certainly has the specs. One last suggestion...try playing with 'simple icon mode', see what that does for ya.
Try bringing your resolution down to 1024x768 and turning off multisampling. And you already posted your debug.err so you're a flippin' computer genius in my book ;)
Garvik: The backporting of the Espionage improvements (as well as any other easy changes to make) will be done once the beta cycle is over. This probably meens that DA 2.0 will be about a week behind TA 2.0, though we'll try our best to time a duel release.
nathan: Can we see your Debug.err file (my documents/my games/polmachine2008)? Perhaps that holds some clues as to what's locking things up.
Gah...sorry again, we're running into issues when updating from SDC...problems that may not be fixable but we're making sure that there's not somthing wrong with the files. I'll keep you all posted.

garber: I'm sure we can find the patch for you :) We had no idea 2004 didn't ship with serial numbers until we dusted off then busted open some old copies. In fact, we should just make the patch available on the website somewhere (I doubt Ubisoft even remebers publishing PM2004)...I'll look into it.
Originally we were going to go all out with the Editors, including everything people would need to make their own scenerios, etc. However, as time grew short, we didn't have nearly the necessary time to get the map editor polished for this...and with the lead programmer on that side of the game gone, I don't know if it'd be possible :(
We put out an update 1.50.05 to solve this (along with a few other issues). Should be available on Impulse! Enjoy :)
