Hmm...I haven't been able to reproduce pheonix's VP problem. Anyone else?

First you select your candidate by... + Left clicking on them on the map + Pressing the C key + Left clicking yourr candidate portrait in the lower left corner Then you simply Right Click the state you want to travel to. :) Happy campaigning!
To commemorate the finalizing of the Republician and Democratic tickets (as well as the 1.5 update to PM2008 ), Stardock Entertainment has released a set of do-it-yourself political bobbleheads. <a href="http://sd.star
Wow, that looks like one helluva card. I would suggest toning down the Multisampling (4x should be enough) and bring your resolution down to your desktop res (1440 x 900). Let us know if this helps! :)
TPM is one of those games that really shines in MP, but so far people have been having a tough time linking up for some one-on-one campaign showdowns :( For this reason, and with the improvements made in 1.5, I think it'd be a good time to set a night where we're all online for PM multiplaying. https://www.politicalmachine.com/article/323551/PM2008_-_Multiplayer_Nights Who's
Once 1.5 is released, and multiplayer get's easier to manage (the Impulse intergration is nice ), I'd like to come up with a night where people can come on and KNOW there are going to be other players online. So which night would it be? My best nights would be Monday, Tuesday, or Wedensday. End of the week is much too hectic. Plus then we could call the nights 'Political Machine Mondays', 'Super Tuesdays' or 'Washington Wedensdays'. ...perhaps somethin
That's crazy...could I see your debug.err to see the video specs your sporting?
Hmm...the billboard quads must be snatching up the message and not cycling through to the state. Hopefully an easy fix. That scrolling problem is really weird...I think I saw that on a PAX machine a few times. We'll look into it :) As for the insivible icons, do you have a saved game that reproduces that one? Thanks for your feedback!
That may meen that 2006 driver is the last of its line for that card :( On Monday I'm going to ask some of the team about the Omega drivers...from what I understand they will work on anything, but I'm not positive. In the meantime, do you have 'Simple Icon mode' enabled?
mheckler: Man, it still dosent work?!?! We have found nothing wrong with your specs, and every time we cobble together a machine to try and reproduce your bug we get nothing but game :( You've been working pretty regurally with us to try and fix the game, so I'm sure the 'send in the box and we'll give you a refund' policy should uphold. Just contact , link so some of these posts, explain our failure to
Hmm...you should be able to use the 'Icon Scale' slider to make those icons as spall as possible...or zoom in to open a section on the state that's clickable. Let me know if these don't work and we'll look into a better solution :) Thanks!
On impulse, if you click the stardock orb, youll be able to select 'show pre release versions'. Have fun! :)
This is awesome, guys! Actually, seeing the trouble you have to go through to exchange candidates made us realize we need something easier...hopefully it'll be in for '1.5 final' next week, but we think you'll like it! :) All I can say is 'Have your candidates ready' ;)
What you can do is make a bobblehead of yourself then just change the PNG thumbnail that gets made in the gfx folder (using the same name that the png was given). The game will use that image for many screens (though any 3d scenes will still use the bobblehead version).
If youre having trouble finding folks to play, the new Impulse update and PM 1.5 should bring more MP players to the table, so don't give up hope :)
I think we're waiting a week or two to properly set up Ms.Palin's statistics, wee what issues she brings to the table, and see if the 'Media Bias' raises a bit after everyone's initial shock ;)
I'll be there! ;)
I'll tackle a few of your issues, if you don't mind :)
while the first one had an absurd amount of characters...this one completely lacks in them
One of things we were hoping for was, by adding a fun and robust candidate creator, people would go wild making and swapping candidates amongst themselves. Perhaps we didn't make things intuitive enough, cause (as you can see that ain't happening. [e digicons]#:([/e] We're trying to rectify this by adding more candidat
I'll ask Brad...he's the one that set that up in code last time. I'll be interested who the game picks this time around :)
First, I would go into my documents/my games/pm2008 and remove (or rename) your prefs.ini file. Second, what was the new monitor set at? We have a minimum requirement of 1024x768, but if your game is allowing for smaller resolutions, then it's a bug we'll have to fix.
Could you send your save game to ? I'll see why it's crashing in the debugger. We'll also look into the 'voter fluxuation' issue you were talking about. I never noticed, but perhaps I wasn't looking hard enough ;)
Aggie: I suggest contacting . We here can help with game specific bugs, but that sounds like a server-side or account issue :SNIFF!: Sorry.
Hey BCFan...I just replied to you in the 'Catch-All' thread. Do you see the intro graphics? Or the moment it starts the game is it all white? I suggest updating the 1.04, but if the game is ALWAYS white then we may have a more significant problem.
BCFan: If you can play the game 'to an extent', then it sounds like you're not having the shader2 problem. I suggest using Impulse (click the 'Check for Updates' option on the launcher gadget) to get the 1.04 version of the game. We've really cleaned up some glaring memory bugs and added some new display options to accomidate all ranges of PC. :) Let us know if that works for you!
callummunro: Try turning off the Hardware Mouse...I dont really know why it would be doing that, but perhaps that option will fix things. Otherwise, please post your debug.err here so we can get a better look at what's wrong. Thanks! :)
