I kinda like the new layout myself.. I do agree that the ability to hide the top banner, the left pane and the descriptions would be really nice. I mean the descriptions at the bottom barely contain any useful information anyway so why even bother. Also, are there plans to make the icons for the options in the left pane more interesting than just the default ico image?

Because Firefox is already skinnable which means it's drawing it's UI pieces itself. All programs that draw their own UI are difficult at best for WB to tie into. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot SD can do about it either.

Kona, if you finalize a CD-RW disk you may actually be shotting yourself in the foot.. I haven't used many RW disks lately but I believe in order to use them as an RW disk you cannot finalize it. You may able to as you said and then format it in order to write again but that's something you'd have to test out. mcs2k1, as Jafo said if you want to burn it try a match, if you just want to write on it a sharpie will work! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=

no.. Finalized is exactly that, final. The process of finalizing a disk marks all of the entries in the disks FAT table so that any drive the disk is ed into will recognize it as being finalized with 0 available space. I guess if you were pioneering you could probably write a program that would write to the blank areas but you'd have no way to allow drives to find that data as you couldn't add entries for the data in the FAT table. depends.. He might be updating it. I believe things that are being updated are removed while they are re-evaluated. Or, it may have been removed for copyright issues.. You'd have to ask an Admin or teh author yourself to find out for sure!

I'll take a stab at that one latin.. No, I absolutely do not think that someone who just signs up for a membership to the site (a citizen) should be able to sell themes here. I think that the folks at SD are dead on when they say that the right to offer premium content should be reserved for those people who have shown that they are part of the skinning community first and foremost before they try and profit from it. If a citizen wants to offer premium content web hosting is cheap, and it's very

I run 1920X1200 on both my laptop and desktop at home and WC looks fine. You will definitely have problems with most of the wallpapers as the largest resolution I've ever seen here is 1600X1200. I get most of my wallpapers from the members gallery over at digitalblasphemy.com as he does widescreen renders of all of his work. As far as WB, I've only had problems with it on my laptop when I changed the DPI setting to anything above 96 DPI which is the default setting. With the setting at say 125 D

IP is definitely correct on this one craeonics. Until your OS takes over the BIOS is providing the video capabilities for your system. As Frogboy has stated in the past the problem stems from some BIOS manufacturers not adhereing to the standards when implementing their VESA drivers. So, Phydeaux_3 the solution is either change your mobo or don't use BootSkins it's really as simple as that..

IconX and ObjectDock have VERY little in common other than they both deal with icons.. ObjectDock is a program launcher/toolbar and IconX is an application that allows you to do all kinds of cool things with your desktop icons.. They definitely should NOT be combined as one package as they have completely different intentions and for that matter audiences..

which theme are you trying to load? Are you sure the theme has a custom start menu, or is it perhaps windowblinds that's skinning the taskbar and start menu? Post some details here and I'm sure you'll get the help you need.

kewl!! can't wait! Bootskin has always worked just fine for me, other than the time I downloaded one from the library here that hadn't been very well moderated as the included image was still 256 colors.. Anyway, I can't wait. BTW, have you identified any BIOS or video cards makers that seem to be better or worse in their VESA implementations?

I was able to get what you've tried to work but there is a hitch.. If you want to open a folder just browse to C:\Windows\Explorer.exe for the link and enter the path to the folder you want to open in the Arguments. Keep in mind you MUST use the browse button to browse to the explorer.exe file otherwise the link box will simply get cleared. HTH! [Message Edited]
