Boot Screen 16 Color convertion

How do I convert an already created image to 16 colors. Using any of the top noch editing software..i.e Photoshop 7.0

In the search bar at the top, type in the word "bootskins" without the quotes and you'll get plenty of threads.

If you have paintshop pro, I can tell you but I can't help with photoshop.

Colors/ decrease color depth / 16 colors

I am sure it is similiar in photoshop.
