I've gotten the OK from the author, I just need to create the widget.. Maybe this weekend.

I'll see if I can get permission to use their graphics and port this to DX.. No promises or guarantees it will be fast, but I'll see what I can do.
IN the DX API's there are 2 desktop size functions. One is to get the entire desktop size, the other is to get the working area which is basically the desktop height minus the taskbar height. If you use that you'll get what you want. If you can't find the API just post back here and I'll look it up but it's very easy to find.
You guys tend to attack anyone who even hints that they pirated something Then perhaps they should not hint that they pirated something. It's simple, I could very easily get a copy of Vista from work as we are MS certified gold partners and have everything that MS releases but if I were to do so I wou
As a UI developer by trade I feel that I must at least toss a little comment in here. Bash, while your zest is formidable, I think you are placing far too much emphasis on the G in GUI. While GUI's are graphical in nature their main focus and job is to be inherently usable, and there is far more to usability than looking nice and having cool colors and big fancy icons. The design of a good UI must take into consideration far more than color scheme and
yup.. exactly like that.. But the rest of the site seems to be fixed now.. Thanks team!!
For the past couple of days all of the sites fonts have been severely screwed up.. The size looks horrible, and it looks like it's using Times New Roman or something but it's really bad... Am I the only one seeing this or is it a known issue? I've seen all the site issue threads but I don't really want to wade through all the flames and rants to see if any of it is pertinent, so if it's a known problem just let me know and I'll delete this so it doesn'
OK, since I don't have any takers here's the answer. 1) The pixel immediately at the current cursor location: Click the mouse and you're done. 1) The bottom-right corner. 2) The top-left corner. 3) The top-right corner. 4) The bottom-left corner.
I agree with everyone else, but I feel the need to add that this wasn't about new and unique ways to design interfaces for people to interact with. It was simply an attempt to change the way people interact with an existing interface (i.e. mouse gestures). As such, it fails and were it to be implemented it would fail just as badly if not more so as the existing windows UI. Why you ask, because the techniques discussed require as much if not more motor
If you are getting that dialog it means you are on a domain and that dialog is not skinned by WB. I have the same problem at work, and that's just the way it is. Unfortunate, but not all that bad.
I wonder why Internet Explorer is barely coming out with tabbed browsing now when such thing already existed? Probably because MS hasn't made a significant update to IE in quite some time. As was mentioned in the original post, this isn't really adding Tabbed browsing to IE, it's more like a hack t
I had the same problem the release before 3.00.089 but updating to the most recent build fixed whatever it was that ailed my IP. Good Luck All!!!
Well said JesseJ, that article is really nothing more than someone trying to get people riled up over nothing. It's a great way to point out the obvious but nothing more. Does this mean a MAC will be slower with Intel chips? Highly unlikely considering that MAC's have been losing their supposed performance advantage to PC's for quite some time now. What it will mean to MAC users is the ability to see what gaming is really supposed to be like. I'll admi
Developer bagginz , I can if you still think it will help but the 3.00.089 build seems to have cleared the problem up. However, if you do need it does Stardock have a public FTP server I can put the file on. I'm not sure I can e-mail a several hundred MB file. I have lots of IP packages and I can only imagine how big that directory is. Thanks, -=- Kevin
I was wodnering the same thing...
Hah, I thought it was only me... Since I update IP won't even run.. It comes up and I get the little flashlight searching for packages and then it just closes. No errors, no messages nothing... Oh well, I'll try to get a copy that works from OD since I don't usually mess with making backups.
it's been a couple months since I looked at any perl but I'm certainly willing to give it a look-see.. Just send it to Email .
Where do I make feature requests for SD Central? I REALLY hate the stupid splitter in the middle of that program. I can't hide it, it doesn't remember it's size and it's beyond useless.. Please for the love of god remove it!!
Hazy, Yah, skins can be hard to come by that's for sure, and good ones are even harder!! If you are really interested, check out the forums on Ceruleans site, there's a skinning forum where people tend to post the skins they are working on and sometimes you can find links to some really good skins there.. My personal favorite is COpusBlue, which was based on a skin by Bose I believe. Search for COpusBlue_RC4.tsz on the net and you may be able
Wow!! I was gonna really lay into ya after reading the inital tirade at the top but I'm glad to see you are willing (unlike some others) to try and fix the problems you have as opposed to just pissing and moaning and then never returning. Like most of the other posters here, I've used Trillian since before you could even buy a version and I've had very little trouble with it. Most issues were in the beginning when various providers (AOL) would
Viruses, hackers, spyware and other menaces Interesting since all of these are user problem, user problem, user problem. Do you have A/V software? A Firewall? Not quite sure how you'd avoid other menaces, maybe use a password to keep your little brother off the computer?? As far as crashes, 9 out o
Yah, this has been going on for a while.. There are many applications that had this concept FAR before Apple, Stardock being one of the first but as usual if it makes it into the Mac OS it was *invented* by Apple. If you don't believe it, just ask Steve Jobs. <img src="http://image
does it work in Windows My guess is no. You'll probably have to boot from a CD and then use it from the CD. Most Windows partition managers don't really "work in Windows" but some will let you queue up a series of changes to be made that it will execute the next time the system is rebooted. Hope you fin
If you are looking for support on this issue you should post it in the support forum. You may not get many responses on this here because people may not use IX in conjunction with OD. It does sound like there may be a problem but only SD will know for sure. Good Luck!
