Isn't Vampothikas' awsome "Techno Mi" similar to this ? or the fantastic "Theater of the Mind" by K10w3 also similar ? Maybe I just need to see more peices of the concept to see how it would be different. -- Ace --

I've gotten a better understanding of why things are like they are here at WC and I do sense that the staff is working to make it a more enjoyable and peaceful place to be. I also understand that I may need to tone down my rhetoric a bit here and not let my passion over rule my sense of civility, A character flaw that I need to work on. Just sayin'... --Ace--

You've got the right idea Sinperium, but I learned from the information above that I don't need to mess with the canvas size. All I need to do is increase the size of the image to bigger than what I need and the canvas will stretch with it. Then using the "Transform" options like "scale" , "skew" , or "perspective", I can manually decrease the size of the image so it all fits on the canvas. Then when I save it, although it is still bigger than what
IT WORKED !!! YIPEE !!!!!! thank you WebGizmos and Doc and Frankief !!! you all are FREEKIN geniuses !!! Now that I know the mechanics of how all that works I'm freekin off to the races wooohoooo!!! I just finished creating a folder icon from scratch so I could test out your instructions and it worked like a charm ! Thank-you all sooooo very much. I'm so happy now. That made my day !!! Sometimes I need to use PhotoShop to skew or add perspective to an image. The problem is that sometimes it causes the image to be too large for the canvas, thus the image gets cut off. So my natural inclination would be to enlarge the canvas so as to accomodate the new dimensions of the image. But herin lies the problem, when I do that, then save the image (usually as a PNG ) it is much smaller than the original, and no matter how much I go back in and try to c
My pleasure Zubaz, thank-you. --Ace--
you're very welcome copperhill, I just edited the tutorial above to clarify the importance of the "start in " location. Hope people will copy the tutorial to a text so that they can refer back to it when they want to create their own shortcuts. I have shortcuts to all my hard drives right down on my taskbar by using this technique.
o.k. , I had a little problem myself when I tried to reproduce it. first of all, make sure the quote marks are still there when you copy and paste ( " ) secondly, make sure the only thing in the "start in" box is = C:/ or whatever the name of your hard drive is where this program is located.
TIP: to make sure you get the path correct you can do this : 1.) Go directly to the program folder and find the IconPackager.exe 2.) Right-click and "send to" > "desktop create short-cut" 3.) once that short-cut is on your desktop, right-click > properties> then copy and paste that path into the pinned icons tar
Thanks Doc ! [e digicons][/e] I'm still learning PS , so that was extremely helpful.
copperhill, here is a little tutorial you can follow to solve any "pin to taskbar" or "pin to start menu" issues. 1.) Right-click on any open space on your desktop screen 2.) go to "New" > then choose "text document" 3.) name the text document anything you like except IconPackager, or you will end up with the same problem. I would simply name it "IP" 4.)Next you will want to change the extention from .txt to .exe , so again right-clic

Right now in my recent list there are two "everything else" threads and the REST are from WC. Thank-you WebGizmos and Frankief [e digicons]5*[/e] [e digicons][/e] The majority of us here feel the same way. Unfortunately our complaints aren't important enough to constitute any type of change from what I see. I guess on the level of importance we are placed at the bottom of the ladder.
