I just bought the ultimate package so may not be the right person to ask - being new to it all myself. * WindowFX - this is pure eye candy but very nice eye candy * SkinStudio - I'm finding this useful for tweaking WindowBlinds skins that I have downloaded - there always seems to be something that you don't quite like - but as someone has said there is a free version. * IconDeveloper - haven't used much yet - but expect it will be handy as per Skin Studio -

Hi, This has probably been asked before but I did have a good look through the posts and couldn't see it. I have just purchased OD Ultimate and I don't know if I have all the free themes I am meant to have. I currently have: "Windows XP Desktop" - which basically turns the loaded theme off "Diamond" - which is free to everyone as far as I can tell "Quest" - again free for everyone "Sins of Solar Empire" - which I got with Sins So, I don't see any Themes sp

Sins ForumsEvery time I get a new machine the old one goes in a huff and stops working. Sometimes a little before the new one arrives - just to mess with me. It's true - on my 5th at home and every single one is a door stop. Hmm, that's about one every 4 to 5 years (not counting upgrades). 3 machines around my desk at work - not counting the sacrificial one we keep around for kicking.

I honestly thought I would since I'm exclusively SP. But as someone else has pointed out there are tons of maps each of which can be played as any of the factions, with all sorts of combinations of AI opponents and other gameplay tweaks. So, no not really missing it. I would play it if it was there - I like a (hopefully) good story.

Have a look through - browsing what games are available is free. It's a great way of experimenting with new genres if you are in the mood for a change and unsure what you want. I've been using it for over a year now (don't worry StarDock, I have GC2 DL & DA and Sin too).

I have trouble hating anyone - I'm just a big softy. Well, maybe Microsoft, for inflicting Visual Studio 2005 on the world. For games I'm looking for entertainment not perfection. EA are huge and are responsible for the distribution of a vast number of games - they are not all bad, and they are not all bad BECAUSE they are EA games. The same thing happened with the movie industry with the creation of the mega-studio's churning out formulaic easy big-buck mass market movies

Bingo it'll do its best to find what you dragged and put it into a new tab. I knew it worked on full links but not on random bits of text.

You'll not stop the deliberate piracy - technological solutions just slow them down to a lesser or greater degree. Basically - I agree with what Alfonse says and would add ... PC's are now sold in supermarkets and laptops are given away free with mobile phone contracts in the UK. It is just the anti-aliasing on the font - added to the fact you only have an analogue input. Add those together and it can get quite bad. Also if you are messing with the in-game anti-aliasing do make sure that your haven't set up your graphics card to over-ride the games anti-aliasing. I got mine downloaded from here too and I'm from the UK. As a general note - PC Games are not like film DVD's (and some console games) - US versions work fine. And as someone said earlier - with the conversion rate as it is just now it's the cheapest way to get games in the UK since most stores are still doing close to £1=$1 (rip off merchants). If you're not too bothered about printed copies of manuals you don't even need to worry about postage costs. Enjoy

I'm usually fairly careful about saving my game manually as I go but for some reason I didn't bother tonight and decided to just rely on the auto saves. As luck would have it I got distracted by something and forgot to pause (yep - one of those nights) and came back to find myself getting heavily stomped on.
