I know that down the bottom in sk, you can check 2 boxes, 1 to make the magic pink go away and the other for transparency... and i normally do that....but this 'no show' thumb pic has me stumped, ill play around again today with what information ive been given and see how I go. When using a bmp, make sure translucency is NOT checked...that will make your image invisible. Translucency is only used for tga files. (It is the 2nd checkbox)

[ Not sure if mentioned, and this is also new to me. Today after logging in, I log in as kperry, a few seconds later it changes to (Stardock User) I have checked to see if my WinCustomize subscription is expired, and seems I'm good until November. I have this same problem, except that I can't even get my name to show up....I stay a Stardock Customer. And have all those ads! This started today. when I say the thumb pic, i mean when you are in windowblinds, and you click on 'skins' you see the small preview pics of all the skins with their name underneath them, and the author. thats the pic i mean. That "pic" comes from your WindowFrameTopUIS2 image...it has to be a bmp for it to show up in the preview. If it is a tga, it will not show up. Hope this helps.

After lightening the backround color you can see the box around the button. Well, I fixed it, sort of. I had forgotten to make the bmp logoffs...I usually always make those as well as the transparent ones. I used the same image as the png...and did tons of majic pink on it...lol. I am finding it to be a bug when using transparent logoff dialogue backgrounds. Dunno if it is new or not. With most skins you don't notice the dark outline around the button but it is there. In your case the skin really exaggerates the issue. Every skin I tested with a transparent logoff dialogue has the same problem. I tested alot of skins and had the same result. Messed up cancel button on logoffs in WindowBlinds WinCustomize Forums

I'm working on another blind. I have run across a problem with the shutdown/logoff screens. The cancel button is messed up...in SS it displays properly: WWW Link but, when I apply it, the button is blue with a blue background: WWW Link Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

The only other thing I can think of for you to do is do a save as (new name) on the subskin you want as the main skin, and save it as a new blind. Then do the same with the other subskins, importing them into the new blind folder. That is a lot of work, I know, but since you already named them, I can't think of anything else to do. What I did when I made a couple of complex skins (my Prism blind is the most recent), was have the master name with all of the subskins, and then added a descriptive word after each if the subskins: Prism Light, Prism Dark, Prism Rain. I hope that helps. You may run into trouble with renaming the skin in question, if you have already named your subskins. I don't name my skins till I am finished with them....while working on them, I just use initials for the blind names, then do a save as to

I keep my taskbar hidden on my pc (have Windows XP on it). I use Desktop Sidebar for everything. It is docked on the right side, set to autohide when not in use. I have Windows Vista RC2 on my laptop. Taskbar is on bottom on autohide. Using Vista Sidebar, docked on right...I hate that I can't autohide it.

What helped me learn photoshop was doing a bunch of tutorials. I screwed so many things up in the beginning, but the tutorials were a big help in figuring out how this program works! I will never give up PSP (I have version 8 also). There are some things I can do better and faster with PSP.

Starkers, thank you for the vote of confidence in me! Keep in mind that Photoshop has a big learning curve, at least it did for me! But, I was coming from using PSP for about 10 years exclusively. Starkers, I use PSP 8 AND Photoshop when I do skins. I find each program does something the other one doesn't. When I first started skinning, I used PSP 8 exclusively. Then, I got Photoshop elements, then Photoshop. (They were gifts from my son). If you already have PSP, Photoshop elements probably would be all you need. I find photoshop is much better at gradients and beveling than PSP. What I do, is make my initial image in photoshop and do the after-work in psp.

I just got Vista RC2 installed on my laptop...my first experience with Vista. My graphics card is integrated, so I don't get to have aero on it. The laptop runs much faster now! I only had one problem with software....AVG! So far, all my other programs work well on it. I haven't put Windowblinds on it yet, though. I sorta like how the OS works...is way different from XP. I'm just gonna take a wait and see attitude, before I make any desicions about getting Vista when it comes out.
