I have Round Button for the Minimize, Restore down and close buttons. But theres a white background when i save it as .tga. Do i have to do something else to make it transparent? Do save it as .gif as that is transparent as well as .Png. I use Photoshop CS2. What I do, is make the background non-visible, then go to File > Save for Web. You can't, Aero is required in order to display transparency with Windowblinds and Home Basic doesn't have the WDDM drivers. If you do not have WDDM drivers for your graphics card, then you will not have the aero effect, which is required to have transparency with Vista. The transparency is dependent on the drivers for your graphics card...the software has nothing to do with it.

Java Runtime is required for some web sites. For example, an online game site called POGO.com requires Java to run the games. Why you have over 400 mb of it, I don't know. The runtime I have from Sun Java is 139 mb. Seems like when your runtime was updated, it did not overwrite the version you had.

"Your skin has failed to upload. Error code: UploadDetails" Same here when I tried to upload my last blind (4-12), had to use the old upload page to get it through. On 4-13, I had to do a minor change to the description text....went through fine with the new upload page. Using XP2 and IE6.

Thanks for the bump, MySecret. When I didn't get any response, I messed with the blind, and wound up having to redo the full substyle I couldn't import. But, at least it is all together now!

I have been working on a complex skin. The main skin has full and compact substyles. The second skin also has compact and full substyles. I had to make the second skin a separate skin, because of the major differences in it from the main skin. I gave it a different name from the main skin. Anyway, I was able to import the compact substyle of the second skin into the main skin without problems. But, I can't import the full substyle....it has the extension of .ssd on it. Kitty, This may be a long shot, but is the color of your normal state of the glyph the same color or lighter than the normal state of the button? Since you can see it when you mouseover it, I was thinking that maybe you should check the color of normal state of the glyph...if it is the same or lighter color of the button, then you won't be able to see it. This is all I can think of. Maybe someone else will come along and offer a better reason/solution.

When I started doing blinds about a year and a half ago, it took me 6 weeks to a couple of months to put out a skin.....and they were VERY basic...lol. With "practise", I am a little faster now....anywhere from 3-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the skin. It does get easier to make a blind with practise, a lot of patience, and a couple of good graphics programs! Like you, I am very picky, compulsive even, about how my blinds look and making sure I have skinned everything! Good

I use BOTH PSP 8 and Photoshop. Photoshop does a lot that PSP cannot do. But PSP does some things easier than Photoshop. Photoshop has a pretty large learning curve, but I would recommend it to anyone. I think a lot of folks use a couple of programs for their graphics owrk.

Everyone I spoke to is having the same problem - even after deleting cookies and temps and relogging in - every skin page is full of blinking flashing ads and those referrel pop ups. After submitting comments - page turns then brings you back to your comment box with your comment still there - if you exit gallery and come back - it may or may not have posted. Some skins Im seeing 5 to 10 repeats of same comment by visitors asking for help on skins but its taking 3 to 4

In Skin Studio, go to Classic colors > Selections > Text-Highlighted for the mouseover text color. Go to Classic Colors > Selections > Background-Highlighted to change the mouseover background color. Just a word on these two areas. They will affect the right click menu on your desktop also, so be sure to check that out after applying your changes.
