Most 64 bit apps will crash if the active threat detection is enabled.

This is resolved in later WB10 builds.

Thank you Neil. Since it's a new computer might as well wait till the next version you know has fixed this situation. I'm sure it won't be that long till it's released. Whatever it is I will wait.

So no help from Stardock support on why WB 10 might not have any effect at all? Googling around makes me think this is a 10586.36 problem. Then again maybe not.

Should be nothing to do with the build of Windows 10 you are using.

Nope, don't know what that is. Another thought I just had: the "look" of the Fences program is absolutely gorgeous and except for the "flat" titlebars would be great. Dunno what that entails, I have experimented with other programs on a virtual machine and most if not all of them change the transparency of the entire window, not just the frame (why anyone would want to look at a transparent spreadsheet is beyond me). Anyway I have removed every change going back to a restore point and I guess I'll wait until Stardock releases a non-beta version, unless someone has a specific list of things I could check that might be interfering with it...

And while I'm at it, apparently it reinstalled or modified WindowFX 6 (the date and time were the same in Programs & Features) and that resulted in no effects at all, which wiped out everything I had done with the version I installed back in December. Uninstalling it and reinstalling got the thing to work again, but without my saved settings.

I have just noticed something odd.

I know the issue with the start button mouseover state not working when using Start10 and WindowBlinds10 together has been reported, but I just noticed that on my dual monitor system, the secondary start button mouseover state works fine.

Had a bit of a bug while trying it today, after applying a skin, I couldn't open the parameter window (the windows 10 parameter windows with all the settings). I dunno if it's due to me not having restarted my computer after installing wb10 tho....

edit : restarting fixed it, but on another matter, google chrome webpage shortcuts don't properly works with wb10 (triangle appearing everywhere on the window.

Ok, I'm feeling just a bit screwed here and more than a little pissed!!!

I just purchased a copy of WindowBlinds a few minutes ago, under the mistaken belief that it was the new version for Windows 10, only to find out when I tried to install it that its still the Windows 8 version. It would be really nice if the product page actually made that clear!!!!! Now, to add insult to injury, I seen that there is at least a beta version of WindowBlinds 10 out, but that its only available to those that bought the full $50 Object Desktop package. Will I (and others like me) be given the opportunity to download the Windows 10 version when it comes out (whenever that finally is), or do I need to be demanding my F***ing money back?!!!

Reported this bug some time ago about the Branding in control panel the image there doesn't show up.
Have a black background image in Branding and sidebar, but usually it doesn't show at all.
Just sometimes it does, maybe 2 times out of 10 boots.
Will this be fixed in upcoming version?

If this is Windows 10 I believe it no longer supports changing of the control panel sidebar background.  Future WB builds will detect text set to white and correct it to avoid invisibility issues.

That said, given the fact that this is an extremely critical piece of information, it should be stated clearly and prominently at the TOP of the page, not buried at the very bottom in small print.

If you just purchased WindowBlinds 8 this weekend, then I believe you will be upgraded to WindowBlinds 10 upon release. I will have to confirm, but I believe that is the plan.

If your purchase is within 30 days of the release you will get WindowBlinds 10 put on your account. As others have said, please be a bit more tactful in your response. I understand your frustration, but simply asking for assistance without colorful language will yield much better results. 

Just installed Windowsblinds 10 beta.

I cant get the windowsblinds icon in the system tray.

The program doesn't remember ticking the setting for the tray icon.

I was led to believe this bug was supposed to have been fixed.

I just re-installed the latest Beta, now the transparancy doesn't work anymore.

Edit: Sorry, wrong information, i pulled into the wrong direction and decreased transparency instead of increasing it.

Is there some information when the next Beta is online?

The tray icon should be fixed soon.

Its the only way to unload WB in a hurry.
