This is NOT the build you're looking for...

Some of you may have recently gotten a large Rebellion update via Steam.  *waves hand* This is not the build you're looking for. There is no new version.

This release was unintentional and wasn't ready for prime time. Apologies, but we will re-release when we're ready.

The little taste I had was fun. Could you accidentally press the Vasari button for a day?

I do not understand the purpose of testing old builds.

I do not understand the reasoning behind withholding new ones.

Me parece bien lo que se hizo, es posible que estaban pensando en algunos cambios o que tengan dudas...

I think well what was done, it is possible that they were thinking of changes or have doubts...

Why?

(no pude  explicar más el porque de mi opinion por mi idioma, la traducción en bing translator era equivocada, hacia la traduccion inversa y era nada que ver con lo que estaba diciendo)

@ anyone pitching a fit about losing their precious game save... (which appears to be about 90% of the posts.)

You have got to be kidding me.  There is no excuse for being ignorant of what it means to be playing a game in Beta.  It's not finished, it is going to be broken and it is not up exclusively for your entertainment.  If you are playing this Beta (any Beta) just to play it and entertain yourself.  Please do the rest of us a favor and keep your input to yourself, you are not part of this process.

If the build they put out was 'wrong' then they HAVE to pull it back else anyone doing any real testing is wasting their time.  This is going to throw a wrench in the games that people are playing for 'fun.'  Tough, I'm sorry but it is clear that you guys aren't cut out for the Beta environment.

Edit: Also...expecting your save games to work on a game you have auto-updating on Steam during Beta (O.o)  Come on now, who's at fault there?

I completely agree. If you are in a beta, your first priority should be to sniff out bugs and report them; your second priority should be to use all abilities and techs in every situation possible in order to find some more bugs (though since Sins is a slow game at the beginning, it is hard to do); your third and last priority is to have fun.

I do feel as though that Stardock did make a mistake, an embarrassment like this might have not happened if there was better communication within the company.

I must admit I did want to see the Advent in Rebellion, but I was really surprised to see them so soon in the beta testing phase, considering the bugs the community has found in v0.6.

Yeah I was a little disappointed they've been pulled, but it's not really a big deal - finding & reproducing bugs in v0.6 is more important to the devs and ourselves.

It was fun while it lasted, and it was nice to see some of the work IronClad/Stardock have made internally.

The Unity shall return!

They did wait a 1000 years, what's a few more weeks ...

Not this again, please. We PAID for the game, for having fun, not for being beta-testers. If there was no beta for preordering, as far as i am concerned, there would be no money for StarDock now. I would indeed want to buy it, but without giving me a chance to play it right now, there would be no point in preordering it.  That is cold, hard truth and i am sure, that i am not the only one, who preordered the game exclusively because of the access to beta.

Other thing, if they did not downgrade it back, lot of us would not even know, its broken (as you say). I have to admit though, i was very surprised to see it yesterday, as Yarlen originally implied its going to come late next week. Next thing i know, it happened late this week.

Still, IMHO, taking it down was a mistake. If something like this happens, unintended release, you do not solve it this way, unless it would totally break the game (which it clearly did not). And if we assume they planned for the next week release anyway, they could just ask the community for this week not to submit any reports, until the fix for this 0.75 version is released.

Change request Advent Loyalist Titan - sound firing special weapon

Please remove this scratchy sound. It makes me aggressive and kills my loadspeakers.

Thanks!

1) There are known bugs in v0.6 that IronClad have yet to figure out and fix**.

It's usually easier to fix bugs with the simplest test case, for SoaSE this will be minimum of races, factions, units & unit types.

If we can do our part by trying to find methods to repeat these bugs then that will help the devs immensely.

In the end we will be helping ourselves to get hold of a stable, polished product.

2) IronClad were probably well aware that v0.7 wasn't ready for release - Yarlen pretty much acknowledged that.

There's not much point with the community finding problems that they probably already know about.

So just consider v0.7 as a teaser, a minor slip-up, or as Sinperium put it, an early April Fools!  ;P

** While playing the 0.7 build I did notice that the 'missing ships' bug still occurs.

I feel so disapointed ....

Hope they will be back for next week-end.

Agreed, its horrible

It could do with the volume being reduced, it was a bit loud.

I actually quite liked it, the build-up reminded me of the Emperor's force lightening - quite appropriate for a concentrated beam of hatred! }:)

No doubt Yarlen isn't going to respond to any of the outrage. We're just wasting our time posting about it.

If you think this is an outrage, you haven't seen the reactions to Mass Effect 3's ending

Besides, a beta.

bro advent are gay anyway

Of course they are, they have no males :P

Just as well I was only 20 minutes into a game as I loaded up sins today to get the Advent titan and no save. Its odd to take it back it seemed ready enough I got no CTDs in 20 minutes anyway nor any other issues.

LOL I don't care, effects me in no way at all, I'M STILL PLAYING ADVENT. :cylon:

it's called right click, properties. and dont not update title automatically. then play with steam in offline mode.
