k, so the concept was to get as far away from the last theme I did as possible and still be able to skin Win 7 completely and correctly.

 

I also wanted to make a red and black theme that took advantage of the dramatic contrasts that this color combo can achieve.

 

Devilish, menacing, provokative, I dunno.. thats what is running through my head as I throw this PS mockup together.

 

I suppose X-( I will be doing a light and dark windows version as I dont see anyway around it...

 

...so this one may take a while to complete but here it is in it early.. fluid stage.

 

Oh and I may just keep the small branding text... cos I know :snowman: would approve  ;)

It looks like I could reach up and touch my screen where the titlebar buttons are and I would actually feel them there.  The more I look at this theme, the more I like it.  Too bad messiah isn't around, I'd really like to see some killer docks for this from him... :'(

Thanks, and not to fret, Messiah I think is off fighting the good fight.... we'll make sure some kickass docks are made If I have to do a tray or two myself and Im pretty sure WG will be putting forth some works of art too.

start menu is looking pretty awesome.... not quite enough for a screenie yet.....real life been getting in the way....with a certain young athletics champ.... :thumbsup:

it's back down to earth tomorrow though....

Acrylic 7 is used DWM Shadows. and It looks good, when mouseover 'Show Desktop' button.
And How about Venom includes .msstyles(with black window background color)?
