k, so the concept was to get as far away from the last theme I did as possible and still be able to skin Win 7 completely and correctly.

 

I also wanted to make a red and black theme that took advantage of the dramatic contrasts that this color combo can achieve.

 

Devilish, menacing, provokative, I dunno.. thats what is running through my head as I throw this PS mockup together.

 

I suppose X-( I will be doing a light and dark windows version as I dont see anyway around it...

 

...so this one may take a while to complete but here it is in it early.. fluid stage.

 

Oh and I may just keep the small branding text... cos I know :snowman: would approve  ;)

Looks really great. I like the design. One thing i dont like is that startbutton. I would like to see a round one, in that devilish red, of course with a black winflag.

I think this is the only start button I will be doing, I would end up with 12 substyles if I added a second. I may possibly include a winflag (orb) one that folks can drop in the folder to overwite. In fact.. I will.

..personally, the SB is one of my fav. parts of it.

I think it's nice to have start buttons that reflect the character of the blind....so many round ones out there....this one makes a cool change.....and love the way it mimics the start menu......still, a winflag one thrown in the folder too....gives people choices.... :)

The luminescent effect with the red is very cool....gives it so much life....all looking very devilish.... }:)

yep, and its always been an option, I've just never been a fan of it, however for this particular config, with light and dark substyles, it is an option I am willing to put forth.. for the sake of mankind ;P .. and my own personal sanity, cos i gotta tell ya, start buttons, done well, theme after theme.. is not easy. :)
