This is the coolest 'non-professional' X-com project I've seen.   The original game, cleaned up and with hi-res graphics.   I dloaded the demo and it looks great.

Very cool. I'm actually a little excited for UFO: Extraterrestrials 2. Check out the site Here.

I think it would be awesome if Stardock made a X-Com clone. I think they could do the original justice while adding their own spin on it. I'm also hoping Irrational and Firaxis will announce their respective X-Com projects some time this year.

Funny thing is, BMan is a member here on the Elemental forums. I sent him a message a few weeks ago but he didn't know much about the UFO: ET2 game. It makes me wonder if the company has even gotten ahold of him yet. BMan, are you here my friend? If you could shed a little light on the subject that would be Awesome :), especially as we're all fans of your work.

Not all of us... though I think I should have been, the original UFO:ET was pretty bad, but it looks like his mod would have fixed 99.9% of it (since from what I just looked up, the gold version is based on it).
