2008

Okay, now even though i'm a Kerry supporter, there is no way he'll win Ohio. So, I've heard 2008 rumors, Clinton, JEB, McCain, obama (UNLIKELY) etc. So what is your thoughts on who you want to win.
Me-- Maybe Edwards/Clinton?

Oh I'm sure I will I love it. I've always wanted to do this.

Yeah, the problem is that sometime things look different when you get close. As long as you are not too ideal, I think you will enjoy it. If you to idealize the election process, you may find it "meaningless" or even "disgusing". That said, we can't just have practical politicans with some dreams. Dreams are what make the world better, right?

Exactly! And I'm sure that Corizne will win, but he'll face a though battle against a US Attorny. Did you hear that Sen. Dodd, and Shumer are also going to run for Govener! In 2006 Giulini and Pataki will face each other for Rep. nomation to face Hillary. Loser faces Shumer. Two Great NY races!

Great. Giuliani and Pataki dislike each other anyway. Schumer from NY is going to run for governor. Interesting. I don't know much about him through.

Hey if this was all you knew about the 3 2008 presidential Candidates who would you pick?

Candidate A:
* Associates with crooked politicians
* Consults with astrologists
* Has had two mistresses
* Chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day

Candidate B:
* Was kicked out of office twice
* Sleeps until noon
* Used opium in college
* Drinks a quart of whisky every evening

Candidate C:
* He is a decorated war hero
* He's a vegetarian
* Doesn't smoke
* Drinks an occasional beer
* Hasn't had any extramarital affairs
Highlight below for answer
Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt
Candidate B is Winston Churchill
Candidate C is Adolph Hitler
As for the candidate for the Republican Party I hope they choose a guy from up North. Probably Giuliani.

Senators are dead meat. Hillary would first have to become the governor of New York.

Rule out any Vietnam veteran including McCain and Hegel,along with being senators.

What does JU stand for? Hey, have you read the recent article by David Border from Washingtonpost. He named a few good choice for Democrat 2008. The article dealt with many issues. You may jump to the last section if you are only interested in his democratic choices.

In response to Bush not running because it's illegal, it's not only illegal, it's unconstitutional.  Even with the republican majority in the Senate and House, the law CANNOT be changed that way.  It requires constitutional conventions in each state or the approval of a majority of state legislatures.  The fact that there are only 27 amendments to the constitution ought to tell people exactly how likely we're talking about here.

Cheers

1) out of nearly 20,000 proposed amendmenta fewer than 25 have been passed, it is doubtful whether the amendment proposed to allow non-US-born citizens to hold the office will be anywhere by 2008.
2) Under the War Powers Act a president MAY put US forces into combat for a limited period of time before needing any congresisonal approval.

limited period of time

How long? Can't be that long.
