Second, let's go with it anyway since you brought it up and acknowledge that Palin has a derogarty opinion of Chavez....big woop-de-do. Anyone in their right mind would agree....Unlike some Democrats, like Bill Delahunt of Massachusetts, one of Chavez's toadie apologists and useful idiots, Palin is saying it exactly like it is...

Back in 2006, some in Congress started taking notice and getting worried about the massive militarization of Venezuela and the non-stop courting of Chavez by terrorist leaders around the world. They consider him a great threat to our national security. Some in Congress, (but none with a "D" after their name) consider Chavez on par with Saddam Hussein, Kim John Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad especially when he hosted them and on top of his agenda was the topic of introducing nuclear elements into Venezuala.

Knock, knock, Starkers, it's true.....Chavez is a bum dictator..our enemies, his friends, are as you say, "already crawling out of the woodwork" and Obama has said he'd meet with dictators without "any  preconditions". On this, Obama is both naive and dangerous.

Thank goodness, Palin knows a dictator-want-to-be when she sees one and is courageious enough to say it like it is...Thanks, this is one more reason to admire her!

NO, you did!  Reread my post and you will see that my remark had nothing to do with Chavez being a dictator, terrorist or anything else.  It was about Sarah Palin putting her mouth in gear before engaging her brain.

Were Palin a World leader she may have a right/responsibilty to say something... but she's just a jumped up governor who's bitten off more than she can chew, so is bumping her gums on sensitive issues and saying shit she thinks people want to hear.

Oh, so you'd rather he go in there with a heavy and uncompromising hand and all guns a blazing?   Open dialogue may be just the thing that's needed to save the lives of more young miltary men and women.

And what makes you think a dictator is going to respect/fear Palin anyway??  More to the point, what makes you think Palin has the balls and experience to deal with Chavez.. or any other dictator, for that matter?   Moose shooting doesn't count... moose don't shoot back and/or plan strategic counter-offensives.

Finally....

I keep abreast/informed on World events, and the Palin/Chavez thing is something several news carriers thought newsworthy, so yes, it is true that Palin insulted Chavez and they had a run-in....

And as for putting stuff up and hoping it sticks, I have seen enough of Palin on TV to know that she is a blithering political idiot who come across as lacking communication skills without a teleprompter or cue cards.  Palin's rhetoric, speeches, diatribes without these aids is lacking coherent thought and are hardly convincing... and given that the McCain camp has accused her of grandstanding and not taking GOP directions, I'd say that makes her far more dangerous than Barack Obama, who comes across as considerably more thoughtful and would prefer not to engage in another war.

Seriously the best part of the entire quote is this, Bottom line people, you have the freedom of choice.  And it is your choice how you want to walk through life.  In a nutshell, if you can follow this as a rule of life, you'll be ok and these photoshop tricks among other things will be seen as amusing rather than offensive and you won't spend your time or energy feeling hurt or offended.  If I had to spend my entire day thinking about what is offensive against me, I would never get anything done.  It's focusing on what's offensive, instead of what's good & attractive that keeps you in that mindset of how bad things are in the world and how nothing is really that good.... and regardless of how much bad there is out there, there is alot of good as well, I'd rather focus on that and consider the photoshop trick above as something amusing and leave it at that. 

But that is my choice, it's not yours.  If you have to complain go ahead - we can't control you, only you control your own actions, thoughts & responses to certain things including funny photoshop tricks.

I've never ever heard skinning referred to as a more useless activity.  I guess that's your opinion, you're entitled to it - I never ever thought I would read that type of comment on this site ever.

Couldn't consider things like improving your appearance by going to the gym, getting your hair & makeup done, manicures/pedicures, getting your car detailed, painting a room in your house, etc, etc, etc, as all different forms of skinning?  Making things look more attractive is just natural human nature.

The irony is when Palin was hung in effigy , the apparently left wing radical Keith Olbermann condemned it and named that asshole that posted it , his Worst Person In the World in his show this week.

Palin will just sit there and read her precious talking points when assholes shout 'kill the nigger' at her rallys.

It would be helpful if there were specifics you could offer to support this allegation.  Far as I know, there was only one episode where it was alleged that someone in the crowd yelled 'kill him' (with no mention of 'nigger') which turned out to be a fabrication - the Secret Service detail in the crowd said no such thing happened.  I'm open to hearing about confirmed actual events, but characterizing her rally attendants as 'assholes' who shout 'kill the nigger' would not seem to be helpful, particularly if it is based on a myth.

When I was a young tearaway on a high powered motorcyle, a cop pulled me overand started writing me a speeding ticket, then he started checking out my bike for any illegal modification (of which there were some), bald tyres  and wrote me another ticket for and unbaffled 4 into 1 exhaust... then one for a bald rear tyre.

Me, being the smart arse and rather pissed off, said to him: "If I was to call you a dirty rotten low down bastard you'd p0robably write me another ticket, wouldn't ya??

"Yup, if you called me that I would most definitely write you another ticket... or two!

So then I said to him: "If I was to tell you to go and get well and truly effed, you'd probably arrest me for using obscene language in a public place, wouldn't ya?"

"Yup, I reckon that I would!"

So then I said to him: "But if I thought that you could gop and get well and truly effed, you couldn't arrest me for thinking it, could ya?"

"Nope, I couldn't arrest you for thinking it!"

So then I said: "Well I think you can go and get well and truly effed!"

Bastard lied.... he arrested me anyway.

Moral to the story: freedom of thought ain't so free either...if you think of something that'll get ya in the shit/get up peoples noses, don't think out loud.
