After the success on the Troll Thumping Day Suite some members of the Mother Thumpers are coming together to create the "Happy Birthday Suit(e)".

I envision this suite centered around a DX gadget that counts down to your birthday. On your birthday the gadget will prompt you to download the most recent incarnation of the suite components so for your special day, your desktop will celebrate with you.

At this point we have some components assigned to artists but this is a collaborative project and welcome input and assistance from everyone. Please jump in and help out if you'd like.

Sorry for the hold up. I have an employee out this week and the gentlemen filling in does not drive. So, I am up every morning at 4:30 to drive 30 miles and taking him to his job site and then coming home to handle the baby til my mom-in-law arrives. Then I have to take him home..yadda yadda.

I will be contacting AVMAN and vSTyler who have both agreed to lend a hand to set up a time we can start this (I'm shooting for Friday evening) and all meet on messenger or in IRC. I will post the time this afternoon, without fail.

I finished these earlier, today, despite having the flu. I'm sorry I did not make it to the Chat on Windowblinds.
They are the same 15 colors animated. The gif here is to show the colors and animation.
I'm starting the work on the firework animation next.

I realize it's not much, but it's the farthest I've ever gotten in a windowblind. I need to do the buttons and mouseover on the start panel and have a little issue with the gripper. Let me know what you think.

I love the start button and the taskbar.  I don't know about you though but while the Start menu looks exactly like I thought it would  . . it also looks unusable.

Less perspective might help some at the top.  And yellow cake might work better than chocolate.

Any thoughts?

The 'flat one' I originally did..well, I didn't like it in use. I really like this one, but vanilla would probably be better. I don't think WInky would work with 'less perspective'. However, on the flat one..if he was 'sitting on top' in a party hat and holding one or two animated balloons (an extra like the dragon in Molten) it might look better. No comments on the balloons for the taskbar buttons? Or the party hat/balloons for the tray arrow?

just a thought if it was a slice of cake could have flat edge up to the pink and still keep most of top as is, which I think looks good

I scrape the icing off on most cakes.  But I see lot's of cakes.  :)
