After the success on the Troll Thumping Day Suite some members of the Mother Thumpers are coming together to create the "Happy Birthday Suit(e)".

I envision this suite centered around a DX gadget that counts down to your birthday. On your birthday the gadget will prompt you to download the most recent incarnation of the suite components so for your special day, your desktop will celebrate with you.

At this point we have some components assigned to artists but this is a collaborative project and welcome input and assistance from everyone. Please jump in and help out if you'd like.

Yup! :grin: Nice work people! Thinking of another suite to do yet, ZubaZ? I don't think there's much time to do a Christmas suite, but if we do just the basics for it, it might be possible... but that's for in the future. But right now, let''s get this one featured!

Upload as normal but add "Birthday Suit(e)" to start of title for it.

In teh normal way at WC.  Just use the same template s teh other submissions.

All,   I have used the new Theme Manager to create the a suite.  Please take a look and see what you can see.

Some limitations of the tool now are that it can have as many DX widgets as you want but only one object.  Same with docks.

I left a comment on the Suite page, but I will ask the question here also.  If I download the suite is it going to find all the items that I have a corresponding program for and install them?

Does it automatically apply the suite?

So so at the moment Philly.

Only DL the 4 as per reply #1259 would think all are on my computer already, but may have had the original names

and no DS Widgets wallpaper etc.

I've renamed the suite file to zip and looked at the winstyle.ini and there may be some issues.  Dunno really.  Will have to follow up with someone at SD tomorrow.

Like I said ..  it's a start.  :)

Zubaz it's great that you took the time to try out this function in Theme Manager 3.0.

Not very many skinners were pulling together Suites for thier WB Themes with the old Theme Manager.

It would be nice if this makes it easier for them to do it.  Sort of like a free MyColors Suite.

I'll be monitoring here to see how you make out and if others take your lead.  Good work. 5* :thumbsup: :beer: :pizza:

Very few skinners make full suites.  They take a tonne of time.  But I've seen more than a few suies based on one artist's skin.  vStyler and I.R. Brainiac stand out in my mind.

This app will allow anyone to create the packs without infringing on those artists.

I am hopeful that they create "authorised" or "official" suites by asking permission.

Hmm . . need to look at how to edit the winstyle.ini file becuase I don't see where I can edit a suite to add content.  (:(
