Welcome Dave (Dsep) to the MVL! I have randomly assigned you to Team B, the Bladerunners. MarshallONeil is your team captain.

I am not fully sure what private threads the Bladerunners are using as we are currently in a transitional phase of most teams moving to the Tyranny of Evil forums from formerly being located at the Galactic Core. One of your teammates will have to let you know that one.

In some ways you came in at a weird time for a player because at the end of this round we will be having a Draft where the teams will be shifted probably substantially. Just rely on your teammates and the other members of the MVL and you'll get through just fine.

I also suggest taking a read through the Opening Post of the The MVL Rulebook to see exactly what rules we have in place and how everything is scored. Don't worry, the thread may seem long but the OP itself is pretty short. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

You can find the current round settings here: MVL Round 8 but you'll need to discuss with your team about strategy and what needs to be done.

I'm having trouble with their password too...

FireBender, why would you need our password? You are not a Blade Runner...

I, however, am a member of the team, and am still waiting for someone to email me the Core password. I'm away from my regular pc, so don't have it saved on this pc. If someone could send the password to me privately, I would very much appreciate it.

Has the password changed from what it was originally? I can pm that password to you guys, but im sure it must be different now.

If I recall correctly (and I'm fairly certain I do) the passwords for all the forums were changed after we had the first draft. As far as I know the team captains were given new passwords by Tech. The captains then distributed them to their teams. I actually don't know any of the passwords but presumably all current members of each team should know their current password.

As far as FB, I'm sure he was just joking.

But hopefully some other Team B member will see this exchange and respond to both Iztok and DSep.

Actually DSep I don't see that your registered at the Core. Perhaps you're registered under a different name but besides having the password you'd also need to register.

Iztok, I did send Tech a PM asking him to send you a PM to your Core account with the team B password. He in general only knows who the forum mod is (i.e. the captain) and otherwise has no way of knowing who is on what team.

MVL Round 8. But remember though, you can submit as many games with those settings as you like in the metaverse but only one game to the MVL.

Victory condition would assigned to you by your captain.

Dsep, your captain, MarshallONeil has been busy lately. I suggest PMing Ghostwes and Wyndstar (your teammates) to see where your team is at, and what they need to complete so far. Best of luck mate

@Freeman43: Are you asking to join? Note that its individual play, not competition between empires.

@Nequa: Just like that :CONGRAT: You've caught the end of Round 8 (it ends in just over two days). In about a week we will be having a Draft where we switch up the teams; if you are sure you'd like to join your name will be added to the Draft list. The upcoming round will be a Bonus Round and will play a little differently than normal, but that may be a good time to get in and see how everything works. Keep an eye on our current thread:
MVL Round 8 for more details.

i don't know if i'll be able to submit a game within the next 2 days, so i might have to opt out of this round

Do what you can and if you can't folks will understand. I'm pretty sure your team will have the minimum 4 submissions so I don't think opting out at this point will help and will perhaps only confuse the issue although it is probably best to check things out with your team in their private forum.

People have submitted a win of the wrong type or even a loss in these situations. It generally doesn't help the team much but it does give you brownie points for character.
