well i'm not sure what feeling you mean, but when i started i was a little nervous and very excited. so much so, in fact, that i submitted a game that wasn't my best attempt for the round, not realizing it'd be counted as my submission. i'm not griping or anything. still plenty of rounds to show my stuff.

If i take your meaning that at the very least your experiance in the league will be some gaming and alot of inane chatter..then you are right. We spend more time taunting and giving each other shit than we do playing...of course alot of the banter is friendly chat between mates and assorted game talk, but as long as you enjoy the experiance is all that matters.

I find the games fun and the League community even better. I think you will fit in fine.

I would like to be considered for the MVL. After reading though all of the fun stuff everyone is posting I want a piece of the action. If I am too late to join in the 5th game then I can wait for the next one. Just let me know.

I'm interested in giving MVL a try. If you have an open spot for round 6 please let me know. The character name I will be using is "Idazen".

If there is a need for a player to fill out a team that otherwise wouldn't be able to play in Round 6, I'd be glad to fill out the team.

I played the Round 5 game as a trial and won it easily at the normal level, except that it was supposed to be an influence victory and I won it as a military victory. I could also have won it as a diplomatic victory if desired. I don't really understand the strategies for an influence victory, something I still have to learn. But the Round 6 game calls for a military victory on a tiny galaxy with two opponents...that's a game I can win at normal level if that's good enough for team play.

Pardon me if I missed it, but I didn't see anything in the MV Rules about factoring the scores for playing level. Is the level you played taken into consideration in any way?

I gather from reading posts and the ML Rules that it is considered ethical to play the game more than once and submit the best score...is that correct? If so, I would plan to play Round 6 at challenging or even a higher level and fall back on a win at normal if necessary.

As for speed, I've never paid any attention to the elapsed time in my games because it didn't matter. But I believe that I can adjust to that goal at least in the Round 6
conditions.

When playing ML team games, do you play the game in Metaverse and then there is some way to get it over to the ML? Or do you have to register your game with ML before you start the game?

My playing character is Wotan, I just joined Tyranny of Evil, and I'm ranked 1808 in Metaverse.

If I'm too late or there is no team that needs a player, I will not be offended.

I will assign you guys to your teams shortly, please read through the Metaverse League OP and if you like the Rulebook thread. Most of the chat will be in the Metaverse League thread and the round 6 thread so drop by and say hi.



Whatever your happy with mate. The only rule regulating difficulty is that you must play at or above your difficulty medal. For you Idazen, you may play at whatever level you want as your character is new.



I wouldn't say ethical but it can be quite helpful. Depends on the team and the strategy in place that round. Some people will play many games trying to get a certain goal that round. Some will play 1 game and be done with it. It is up to you mate, i play a few games each round, just trying to find the best balance between game time and score. Plus i always try a harder level than my normal first game up.



Just play your game as normal and submit it to the MV as you would any other time. Once you are happy with a game and are ready to submit it to the MVL, just post in the current round thread, round 6, and leave the game and character details in your post. Char name, game score, game years, difficulty, and Mv submission date is what ya need.
If you can do screenshots, a screenshot of your game you want to submit is also fine. Scroll throught the round 5 thread and you will see plenty of submissions.

Remember that submitting to the round thread is final, so be sure that you are satisfied with your game before you post it. Play as many games as you like though, having 2 or 3 games for 1 round in the MV is not uncommon.
