Last year, we had a thread in which people showed off some of the great ship designs they created with Galactic Civilizations II.

With the expansion pack adding so many new components and so much free form support, we'd love to see the cool things players create.

The cool thing in the expansion pack is now you can save your creations as templates and then assign the computer players to make use of those ships in various roles. Combined with the capability of creating your own custom opponents, now you can create your own sci-fi universe within GalCiv without modding.

there is only one small problem

i used a huge hull that way it could take some punishment sorry couldn't resist lol

These pictures are all great, but is there a way we can download and use others' designs in our own games? I don't like to design ships, but I need the distinctive looks.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the "City" Ships. Are any of those in the Library?
I'd love to use them as Starbases in my game!

And Kenwebb, your Talent make me Jealous. Beautiful Ships. I have question, though. On your one ship BSG F-02 Frigate, how did you do those Cylinders that are extending from the front of the ship? I've had a hell of a time trying to make cylinders in the ship editor.

i took one more pic of my ship over earth for a size compersion

the outside pools are designed for large ship+ docking

there are also docks for personal and small ship docking in the habitat areas and center of the city

It’s very easy, first select a long piece like in the 2nd frame, attach it to your hull and angel it to what you wont. Then add the other piece in 3rd frame, attach to the hard point along the first piece. For a longer cylinder, attach a other long piece at the end of the first piece and then add more of the cylinder jewelry to extend it. I hope that helps.

mr webb i have just relized the two ships battlestar your fleet is missing that is the agro ship and the tanker

which is what we are all forgetting about is the support ships
