Can't find account info HELP IN HERE!

Well, my serial number wasn't working for the Collector's Edition DL and the situation hasn't changed with the patch either. I have been told numerous times that I must have "purchased from a different account than I log in with" but I am positive that I am using the same log in name and e-mail. I have sent a few e-mails to customer service, but no response yet.

It keeps telling me that "Gal Civ 2 Serial code is not register to this account." I have had Stardock look up my code nearly six times now, copy and pasting the code into the both the CE and normal blanks. Has anyone overcome this problem? Is there any other recourse than to just sit back and wait? I really would like the bonus content, and since I pre-ordered nearly a year ago, I feel a bit in need of some attention!

What can I say, I'm an old fan who wants to cash in on my loyalty!

Well I have good news.

Because I'm paranoid, I had the IT team put extra data into the accounts that admins can look at.  So I was able to look at your account and merge them together.  You had two accounts both with product purchases in them.  Don't ask me how that happened, but thank you for all your business over the years!

You are all set. Have fun!

Hi,
I also had the same problem, but I knew I had purchased GC2 with a different email than my stardock.net account (my dumb)..so I created another with the email I used to purchase and then I was able to download..

Well this is the same exact problem I've been having, you can read my posts on the subject in the sticky thread Collectors Edition at the top of this forum. I also submitted a ticket on it.

Knowing that several of us have this issue when trying to use the "pop up window" the Download link activates, but not when we download files through the Stardock Central App itself, I'm curious as to why the patch was released using that method. I've always downloaded patches and updates through Stardock Central, it's how I downloaded GalCiv2 in the first place, I thought that's exactly what it was for.

As it stands now I'm currently not only locked out of the Collector Edition Goodies but the patch as well.

Ubax: You're fixed now.  Had two accounts.

Same with Mondov.  I've no idea how two accounts existed.  They were both definitely different accounts though but the same (well similar) info.

I've merged them. So if something's wrong at this point, it's my fault.

Many thanks FrogBoy that seems to have done the trick.
I was able to download both Collector Edition Goodies and the Patch.

Great job the Team ahs done on GalCiv2, can't wait to see whats next.

Stardock doesn't like my registration code either. Even after sending me three different ones, it said each one was invalid.

I've got the store-bought CE by the way.

I am having trouble with putting in serial # for getting patch. Guess I'm in the same boat.

Yeah same here. I'm shipping my box to work and for some reason it decided to register my order to my work email address even though everything was sent to my personal account....I have a ticket to get it fixed but it hasn't been fixed yet.

Ugh. To top it off I got the serial # from my Stardock Central and the website says that serial is not registered.. Well SDC certainly thinks it is.

SirGreatNose,  I just checked your account and you are already registered.  If you visit the registration page your Serial Number should already be filled in and download links available.

Supreme Shogun,  I suspect you have multiple accounts but there are multiple records in our database with your name but none of the other day is similar enough where I can tell  if any of those accounts belong to you.  Please send me an email with your Serial Number and any email address and/or Order Numbers you have used with Stardock and I will get your account fixed up.

x10d, yes, you had two accounts, different email addresses.  I have merged them together so you should be all set.

Pat, I found his and merged them.  But there was another user who had two different email addresses which I couldn't merge (or more like I was afraid to).

ANYONE who has problems getting access to the update let us know here and we'll see what we can do.  Long time customers often pile up accounts over the years (that's what I've been seeing) so far when I go and merge the accounts.

Wow, at a time when most companies don't give a tinker's cuss, you guys are a breath of fresh air.
*sniiiiiiffffff* 'Ahhhhhhh.'
Thanks!

Awesome. DL the patch now. Thanks. I really appreciate it. *sighs with relief* First real hiccup I've had and you guys were on top of it. You guys are re-writing the book on customer service. Thank you very much.

Dark Talon, had to remove your post because the screenshot messed up the page.

I checked your account, it has no record of GalCiv II with it. Where did you get it?

Sorry about that, I got the game from you guys, bought direct from stardock (pre-order with CD). But like a lot of others I used a different E-mail to buy.

What was the email address you used? If I can find your other account, I can merge.

(hidden) is the one I used to purchase the game, I try to get that one private and only use it for things like on-line purchases.

Gotcha. Alright, found it, merged the accounts and you're now all set.

And on that note, it's almost 3am, I'm going to bed. Have fun guys and see you tomorrow. Then I GET to play the game! Ha!

Thanks for all your work Frogboy! (sleep well) While this Yor might not distinguish between living and non-living things, you can bet I'll swerve to avoid any frogs I see on the road.

Same here, I purchased the game with a different account (digital release on stardock) and can't get the update.

Eozenig - you need to use your Eozen account. The one tied to the 9online.fr email.

I have the same problem. "Error 3: Serial number not registered to this account".
Back when I ordered the first Galactic Civilizations, my email was [email protected]. Last year Cox switched servers so now its [email protected].

BUT Last October I had the accounts merged. This was BEFORE I ordered GalCivII. Stardock Central seems to have the correct information. But things still seem screwed up at the website.

I have the confirmation email from when I ordered Galactic Civilizations II and the email is clearly listed as [email protected].

Can anyone please reconcile the account so I can download the update?

Same thing seems to be happening to me as well, except its probably because I bought GalCiv 2 with a different e-mail address than the one my Stardock account has. Me = silly.

Would it be possible for my accounts to be merged then? I've registered Gal Civ 2 with this one on Stardock Central but I can't seem to download the bonus stuff or the patch and it denies my serial number.
