I guess everyone's needs are different. As I mentioned, I use mine on a daily basis, often at public wifi locations, and have had no problems at all doing anything I wanted or needed to do. I guess that's why it's great to have so many different devices and operating system from which to choose; something for everyone. Honestly, I can do a lot of things on my Surface I could never do on my iPad (which I gave away after getting the Surface).
After my bad experience with the Surface, I will wait on the Windows Phone. I like the Android. I use to be a pure Windows Guy for the simple reason of flexibility. I am afraid Windows is moving to the closed shop approach which is going to kill it in my eye.
I've never been crazy about Windows. Win 8 is the first version I can say I actually like. Actually, closing an application is simple. Swipe it from the top and go all the down, the app closes. I like the Surface RT for what it is. Yes, there are some limitations, but it wasn't really intended to be a full laptop machine, or a professional IT machine, I've had mine for a while now and use it daily (typing this on it now), and haven't had any problems with websites. There are some, like JU, that work better with the desktop IE than the Metro one, but that&#3

Today I finally got around to getting a Windows phone. It'll take me a few days to get it set up the way I want and to get used to using it, but so far I am really digging it. It really is a very good phone OS. Between the three choices available through VZW, I went with the Nokia Lumia 822. I really do like this phone. I've spent the past couple of hours downloading the apps I need. The only app I really need that isn't (yet) available for WP8 is one I use for work to sca

Yesterday I put my truck in the shop for routine servicing. He also serviced my APU. Everything seemed fine when I left, until I went to start the APU. It wouldn't run. It had been running just fine earlier that morning, before being serviced. The shop is only open half a day on Saturday, and is closed on Sunday. I called the guy who runs the shop and told him about the problem. He called me back a little later and told me one of the mechanics, a different one, would meet me
We turned warm for the past couple of days. But that ends tonight. It is still winter. I hope you get out of there soon.
Thanks. I made it to SLC and delivered. Picked up a partial, some excavating equipment, and am now waiting for them to find something else to go along with it. Yesterday morning I loaded in North Bend, WA, put off two stops in Seattle, and then set out for Salt Lake City. The plan was to get to SLC by noon today, put off that final stop, and then reload for Michigan. Well, I got as far as Baker City, OR last night. The last fifty miles was a nightmare due to Winter weather conditions. I had to stop here because they have up chain restrictions from here to the Idaho line. That means trucks have to put on tire chains. Our company policy is "We

Thanks, She seemed pretty happy about it. I got to thinking about it and I think maybe her initial hesitation may have been that she thought I may have expected some "strings" attached. Not my style at all, but I think perhaps she may have thought that.

Last night I was in a place I stop in semi-regularly and the young bartender, a kid really, at some point mentioned how she would like to have an iPad but can't afford one. Since I bought my Surface tablet I haven't touched my iPad at all. While I was outside having a smoke I got to thinking about that and walked out to my truck, grabbed my iPad and it's charger, did an erase and reset on it while I finished my smoke, and carried back inside with me. I showed it to her, co
according to Windows Phone Central, AT&T has a deal going on now. if you buy one win8 phone, you get $100 off a second win8 phone. in other words, buy 1 Nokia 920, get another one for free. or buy an HTC 8X, get a 920 for zippo. i wish they had that deal 10 days ago.
That's a pretty good deal for someone who needs more than one phone. Taking the weekend off to try and get over a nasty bug. Been sick as a dog since Monday and just couldn't keep going. Flu I suppose. I'm in a cheap motel with enough food and supplies to get me through the weekend. I don't want to have to go out unless I have no choice. My ribs are sore from coughing, my body aches in general, and my head is so plugged everything sounds like I'm under water. But, I do feel a tad better today than I have all week so I guess I'm on t
