Hi Everyone, I purchased Galactic Civilization 1 Ultimate Edition off of Steam, and after having to cajole it for it to install successfully, it starts up and plays perfectly. The problem I am having is when I quit out of the game. When I do so, I no longer can see my taskbar. If I move my mouse to the extreme bottom of the screen, even though I can see nothing of the taskbar or its icons, if I click where the start button is, the start menu appears

You know, that's a really good point! I also at times double click, but not as an alternative to using a screensaver. I'll have to think about that. Of course there are also times when my screensaver differs from the wallpaper I'm using, but there are also times they are the same. You've given me something to think about. Thanks for your input. Thanks for your reply. I've shifted (initially) to using Media Foundation, and that made the screensaver come up, but there was no motion, just a static image. I then shifted to DirectShow VMR-9, and the screensaver is behaving properly. I want to test it with various DeskScape videos to make sure it's operational with all of them. I'm utilizing a Radeon 6800XT as a video card, a Ryzen 5800X as a CPU, and 32gb of RAM, so I would think I would be able to run the most

It did. You're instructions were very clear. I always back up my registry before I (rarely) make changes. I wish I had remembered where I had placed the instructions for editing the WindowBlinds portion of the registry before, but this time I have the instructions saved in a place where it won't get lost. Hi Everyone. I just updated WindowBlinds to version 10.87 and when I did, it redirected the path to the default C drive location that it installs the .wba files to. A while ago I had learned how to move the .wba files on to a different drive, and that is where they all still sit. The problem is that I can't remember where to go to direct WindowBlinds to the path where my drive is with the .wba files. I've been looking around on the forum here without any luck

I have tried all three settings listed. The only one that works for me is "Use Media Foundation for Video Support - Supports smoothing". The others cause the same problem I was reporting before. So it would seem we've found a solution for what works on my computer. My only question is if the three different settings are indicative of levels of capability. Specifically, are they merely different, or are are some more advanced and more capable?

Hello, It's been 10 days since I wrote my last update on the status of the issue I was having. I was hoping to have heard back about what I could try next. I do have one bit of information to add to the issue. Since having done the procedure that I was asked to do, there is a small percentage of time when my issue no longer occurs. Hello Sean. I followed all the steps of doing a clean boot. One thing I neglected to mention is that I'm running a 4K monitor. What I found interesting was that after running DeskScapes following doing a clean boot, when the screensaver appeared, it did not appear fully on the screen. It only took up about 1/4 of the screen. I have no overlays running. I just have the driver installed. The Radeon software that gets installed with the driver is running in the background, but I have no overlays. To my knowledge, I have no other programs that should be in conflict.

I did all the steps you listed and unfortunately, it did not resolve the problem. I just wanted to say, I've never experienced a problem with Radeon either up till now. I don't think Radeon is the issue. I have no idea what the issue could be. Also, I just wanted to say that I use your DeskScapes all the time, and I think they are great.

Hello, I've noticed over time that some wba's say they include sound schemes in them. I'm not sure if this is still the case with the more modern ones, but nonetheless, I've never heard different sounds than the windows default sounds even after installing wba's with descriptions saying they have sounds. Is it necessary to own and have Soundpackager installed in order to be able to hear these sounds? If so, does this still work on Windows 10 as an operating system?&n

Hello, I have downloaded and installed far too many skins that I don't use, and I was hoping to delete the skins I have all at once so I could install only the ones I want.
