Good! Good! I've had an idea about the tech tree put on the back burner in my mind for awhile now, and this would be most excellent tool for utilitizing it. Great work! Looking forward to it! :D ~SDC~

Check the version history. I've tried to post the link here before, but no joy. Seems different now, here lets see ;)http://sdcentral.stardock.com/public/gc1/production/history.htm Edit: Updated the Link [Message Edited]

A quick thought. One of the things that would interest me more is seeing different tiers of rankings for all types of players. An example would be to have a 'novice' ranking board, which would include difficulties from Cakewalk to Beginner, then have an 'intermediate' ranking board, which would include difficulties from Normal to Tough, then a 'master' ranking board for difficulties Painful to Masochistic. Each would act as seperate entities and players could move from one to the other as they p

I bought the game retail and have not had any trouble with the updater, it finds the install directory just fine on my side. The only thing I have in my StarDock folder is \SDCentral. All I can tell is what I did when I first setup everything. The first time I setup SDCentral I went to register GalCiv, under Tools -> Register Products..., the Drengin.net tab pops up, I set application as Galactic Civilizations, put my name, email, and serial# in the required fields, and that's about it.... Heh.

Was there ever any thought given to hiding planets from view that were in unexplored sectors? I don't think I've ever seen the AI use scouts to it's advantage even once. Is it the levels I'm playing at? A little mystery never hurt. Of course, smacking that annoying AI for knowing where resources and habitable planets are is a must with that scenario. Ah, well, maybe I'm just thinking of something different. GalCiv is a great game, and I stand as one of the 'casual' few. ~SDC~

The maximum capacity of the Transport is 1000 million, and the maximum capacity of Combat Transports are 5000 million. You may have your transport producing planets set to auto-launch and I think it always loads half capacity when set that way. ~SDC~

What kind of ships are you looking for Bloodthirster? I do have a question to put here, I don't if I should ask here or the MODs forum...Alright, here goes..Is it at all feasible to rework the entire tech tree and have the AI still research the newer techs? And by rework I mean completely change...There are just some ideas banging around inside my head right now, and I'll go mad if I don't let 'em out. ~SDC~

Hmm...You seem desperate...Have you tried reading through the 'Metaverse Submission problems' thread? Something you read there may help you. It's shallow advice, but it's better than hearing crickets chirp in the background. ~SDC~

Good, Evil...what does it matter? It's all subjective. :d Another thing, you could try colonizing planets with PQ12+ just for the colonization events that popup. I haven't tried this, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Of course, if you literally mean 'all planets have been colonized', then, I don't think this idea would work. ~SDC~

I think Transports/Colony Ships load a percentage of the current population when set to auto-launch. I'm not sure on this, but it has been my experience. So the higher your planet's population the more civlians/troops will be loaded on automatically. ~SDC~

The version number is displayed at the top of the Options menu. The latest build now is 1.04a.062. If you don't have the most recent, I think you can grab the stand-alone patch at GalCiv.com under Downloads. ~SDC~

You may have 'End Turn Skips Moves Left' set to NO, and the game might just be telling you that the ship has some move points left over. I've had this happen before. ~SDC~

Make sure the email address you give is the same that you registered your Galciv.com account with. The alias it asks for is the username you chose for Metaverse scoring placement. I don't know if you have to register with the Metaverse beforehand or not, clarification here? Also the score will appear under the Summary tab at the post-game screen and will appear as something like; (2310 Mpts) - just incase you may have missed it. About the flickering, I think Sigma 7 posted something about checki

More stars? At the Player Setup sreen you can set Galaxy Size, and Star Density. The rate of Habitable Planets can also be increased. Is this what you mean? Or did you mean something completely different? ~SDC~
