But isn't rare harder than abundant on gigantic maps? The AI "free stellar cartography" ability is worth a lot more on rare than it's worth on abundant.
Depends on the difficulty level, below normal, it's just less systems for the AI to colonize. ~SDC~

They've actually got to add a bunch of stuff to make it as moddible as it should be. Why can't starbase modules add morale or PQ to a planet? They just don't work that way. ~SDC~
Should a ship with a negative speed be usable in GalCIV? So far it looks like said ship can't move unless there are no other ships with movement, then it can move much more than it should be able to (i.e. -1 speed = 43 movement) Reference (http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/viewtopic.php?p=916#916) ~SDC~
Very nice... I'm still waiting for them to post the ships I made, but if they are holding them for the expansion pack, I won't mind. ~SDC~
Sometimes, in biology class in ninth grade, someone would have their hand raised for a very long time before Ms. Bennett looked back and saw it. She was always writing on the board. When she finally did look back and recognize the person with their hand raised, they would sometimes have forgotten. She invariably said, "Well, it must have been a lie."
This woman is very fortunate to not have taught at my High School. ~SDC~
On Windows 2000 1.) Create a shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME$\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch 2.) Go to your desktop and drag the new shortcut folder to the side of your screen. 3.) Boom, instant Quicklaunch Bar. I don't know/remember if Win98 has this ability or not, but if it does the Quicklaunch folder is under c:\windows\profiles, if you have profile turned on. Hope this helps. ~SDC~
Go here (http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=4&var1=23) for a nice explanation on AGP Aperture & how to tweak it. ~SDC~

I've only installed the music i.e. space*.mp3. It is almost perfect for GalCiv... ~SDC~
The I-Leauge are destablizing everone in the game I'm playing right now. Not a problem, it just sucks that I can't do it back to them. ~SDC~
My last game an Economic Boom happened midgame & lasted until the end of the game, I was spending at 100% and still had 71827bc in the treasury when I won. ~SDC~
They only have a base 10 attack ~SDC~

Rangers, lots of Rangers ;) ~SDC~
I chose the Universalists my last (current) game and Sol ended up being on a High-Influence (purple) star. Before this I haven't even seen one since v1.02 ~SDC~

Maybe this should have went into the WinCustomize forum, but since it relates to gaming, here it goes. A few days ago SmartException helped me fix a bad crashing problem in the game Dungeon Keeper II (on Win2K). Turns out I needed to update a sound library that had issues with Win2K. If I didn't have SE running, it would have taken me much longer to figure out what was going on, and I would have probably gotten bored with it and gave up. Thanks again ~SDC~
I wonder what would happen if you give them a colony ship at the same time? ~SDC~
Wow, now that is some serious cheese. ~SDC~
Kinda Like the Bell Jar option in Alpha Centauri? Hell, if the game was stable enough, an Ironman (save, only when exiting the game) option would be great too. The first one would make the game easier, the second one would make it harder. Autosave would have to be disabled as well. ~SDC~
Try out my Photon Mines at CDG (http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/viewforum.php?f=8), or wait a few days & they (might/will) be in the library. ~SDC~
War Party & all picks in HP. ~SDC~
Does anyone know? ~SDC~
Where is the info for the TerrorStars kept? I'm thinking "Happy Fun Ball" Mod... ~SDC~
Word to the wise: No matter how many used copies of Everquest you buy offa Ebay, Sony isn't going to give you another key. @ CariElf: do you really think a EULA (any company, not just StarDocks) would hold up in court, they've never been tested. A EULA isn't a legal contract no matter what Microsoft says. IANAL, but I know quite a few. That being said, I think you guys (SD) are doing a great job, keep it up. ~SDC~
